X-Mite Anti-Allergen Moist Powder Carpet Cleaner

The product seems to work. My carpeted old floors really look good. I'm surprised how good they look. I'm going to get off my allergy pill in a couple of weeks after cleaning the carpets upholstery, new pillows mattrass and pillows incased. Air is circulating throughout my home. I've crossed my t's and dotted my i's.Everything my allergy doctor recommended to fight against the dust mite allergy.I didn't notice any smell after using the cleaner, some say they did.

We have hardwood floors and bought this product for our multiple wool rugs. Our rugs weren't "dirty" (pet stains, food stains, etc), so I can't comment on whether it cleans dirt and stains. From an allergen perspective, I noticed a difference right after use. My partner is allergic to everything, and I have really sensitive skin (hate strong smells, chemical solvents, etc). Using this product was completely non-irritating to both of us. It's extremely easy to use. Some have complained that it requires a lot of product for effective application. If you have wall to wall carpets - yeah, you need to buy a lot. One bag effectively covers two 10'X12' rooms of carpet, or two 10' x 12' rugs. I typically prefer fragrance-free products, but this product is "better-than-frangrance-free." There is no chemical smell, and the limited fragrance is more like "fresh air" or "clear ozone."After following the instructions for use, brushing into rugs with a soft brush, and waiting 3+ hours, the lingering effect was more "absence of smell, " than "good smell." Because the powder is moist, there's no airborn irritant. All the product goes to the surface it should be working on. That's just right for me.

Made my carpet feel amazing and new again.

I moved into a new apartment with my fiancé and the complex he chose just so happened to be dog friendly. The previous tenants of our apartment had dogs as evidenced by the dog hair that was left everywhere and the fact that I couldn’t stop my nose from running nor sneezing. We made several trips to the local drug store, hoping one of these name brand nasal sprays and pills would work, they did not. So I scoured the Internet looking for some relief and cane across this. It was a hefty price tag compared to the items at the drug store, but I was desperate and it said it could be delivered the SAME DAY. Boy am I glad I made that purchase, because it literally saved me! I couldn’t believe how fast it worked. Too bad the bags aren’t bigger or else I’d have these in storage!

Works well a little strong. I think I use too much at one time.

This product seems to work well. X-mite along with new mattress an pillow cover and an air purifier have all seemed to cut down allergy problem in our home. The only problem we had was the vaacuum cleaner got clogged when trying to get this stuff back up. Also, this is a whole day event since the product has to sit on your carpet a minimum of 3 hours.

I have really bad allergies and I was not able to even walk into my living room from the new place I bought. after dumping two bags in my living room, which is pretty big, I’ve been able to hang out there without any issues. It’s a little expensive, but so worth it.

Works well for allergies.

This was exceptional. It changed the air quality in our bedroom immediately...great stuff! The powder is sort of humid, and so it didn't spread very well and came out of the bag in clumps. I bought an upholstery brush (hand held) and brushed the powder into the carpet, which made the powder kick up into the air and made a huge mess of dust on the furniture. I was able to wipe it off later one with no damage to the wood.Back to the carpet: I left it on for the allotted time with my HEPA filter running in the room, and when I stepped back into the room later on, I breathed so much more clearly...it was like everything damaging was ZAPPED out of the air. Amazing! I vacuumed it all up and it completely filled up my vacuum bag (bummer). I didn't like that aspect. I also find this to be very overpriced. Ultimately I would need 4-5 bags to do the whole house, and that is just not possible at the moment. But if you have a small space, or one priority room (for me it was bedroom), I recommend this product.PS: The effects only lasted a couple of weeks before I felt the room's air quality was back to basically normal. I'm not sure if that is so appealing, but I do like the product regardless.

excellent product - works just like it should - I need to do every 4 months due to dogs.

It was very difficult to apply. It was lumpy balls of powder rather than a fine dust or granules like say ‘shake n vac’So some of my carpet was absolutely covered and other parts missed. I couldn’t spread it evenly at all.

Helped me a lot... but it is very expensive! One pouch does not go very far.
