I bought these for my daughters along with their own ...
I bought these for my daughters along with their own keys so they would not keep taking my remote and keys.I almost returned the remotes, even had started the process. Then I noticed that many customers had not been able to program themselves, but the dealer could. If a dealer can program these without special equipment, anybody should be able to.Therefore I decided to see if the instructions provided were not correct or somehow not clear. I did an internet search and found these instructions:Programming Instructions 1. Start with the key out of the ignition, drivers door is open all others closed and drivers door is unlocked. 2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds. A. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out. B. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out. 3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Close then open the drivers door. B. Close then open the drivers door. C. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out. 4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Close then open the drivers door. B. Close then open the drivers door. C. Insert the key into ignition and leave it in ignition. D. Close the drivers door. E. Turn the ignition to ON (Do NOT Start) then back to OFF. F. Remove the key from the ignition. 5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should lock then unlock automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point. 6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. B. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, Press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. i. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming. ii. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps A and B in step 6 as the remote was not accepted. C. Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote. 7. Open drivers door. The step that I and I expect everyone else had problems with step 12 of the original instructions, which are replaced by step 6A in the above. I gave these remotes a 4 because of the instructions otherwise I would have given them a 5. They sem to actually have a longer range than my original remote.

Did not work for 2007 Highlander
Even though "Amazon confirmed fit" tab at top of page says it should work for 2007 Toyota Highlander, these did not do anything. I was able to successfully put the Highlander into FOB program mode ( based on the door locks self-cycling at the end of the instructions, as described), but hitting the closed and open buttons, then hitting the close button on the FOB did nothing. There is a comment at the end of Amazons product description that says "All highlanders, Sequoias, and Tundras require dealer or locksmith programming. " but supposedly the original dealer issued FOB model number ( that works ) also links to this page....So at this point it is not clear that this item will ever be successful on Highlanders ( and, if not, for what reason) I would not have entered an opinion around the number of stars, given that this product may not be appropriate for the highlander... but the review forced me to enter some starts.

Worked amazing once I did this....
So....I read the reviews on these Fobs and saw that some people where have having problems programming them. When I first read the instructions at RemoteRemote.com, I thought that I was the punch-line to a very funny practical joke. To put your Toyota into programming mode you have to go through a precise process of inserting and removing your key, opening and closing your driver door, turning your key on-off, closing and opening your door again...etc. I kept checking my mirrors to see if anyone was watching this while I was programming my fobs in the gym parking lot! ...lol Well... my first three attempts failed.... the door locks did not toggle automatically to signify that the truck was in programming mode. THEN....I realized that I was a duplicated key....not the original key with the Toyota logo. Soooo.... I dug into my bag ...found my original key.....ran through the process and it worked!!! My guess is that the original key has a chip in it that is required to be used for this process. I now have 2 working fobs for less than $20.... truly hilarious and amazing! I would like to get other manufacturer (Toyota) programming sequences ....for example...one YouTube video shows the fob programming process but references a way to program the truck to the new fobs while deleting any old ones! It may be as simple as turning the key to on-off twice i(as opposed to once in the recommended process)....but do not have the official guide(s). Hope this helps and hopefully the manufacturer will provide the advice to use one of the original manufacturer keys to do the programming.

Great replacement fob.
Only one fob was shipped when description said two. It was addressed and another order has been made already. Quite happy with the speed of resolution.Remote looks exactly like the oem one besides the Toyota marking not being there on the back. Buttons all work fine. Slightly different inside parts than original but they work fine. The buttons on this press differently than the original so be a bit more gentle.Easy to pair with my truck. Done in under 30 seconds.
