It’s a basic butt set that will get the job done. I recently had to trace a bunch of lines from demarc to endpoint to see if they were still in use at a few sites. Not enough money to go buy a Fluke, but this little thing got the job done. If you’re going to use it everyday, get something more durable, but this was well worth the money it cost.

Not built like a tank, but reasonably solid and should withstand some amount of being knocked around.3. It works. For one-off tasks it gets the job done.4. Belt clasp, Cord w/ strain relief and Angled Bed of Nails (ABN) are of decent quality.Cons...1. Shake it and something rattles inside (probably the ear transducer, but I haven't taken it apart yet to find out). Doesn't inspire confidence in the construction.2. No speaker capability; you have to hold it up to your ear to find out if there is dial tone.3. Other buttsets have a "voltage detected" LED that lights green or red (reverse polarity); this one only lights when reverse polarity is detected. When voltage is present with correct polarity, there is no visual indication that voltage is present.4. Nomenclature states "weather resistant housing" but I don't think I would chance using it in the rain, probably should stick to indoor use only.

Great deal for basic test set functionality. If all you need is a dial tone test, this is the best buy!

I bought this device to help insure that I was providing adequate current to charge my hungrier devices. Although it didn’t occur to me in advance, I quickly realized that it is also a very quick way to identify broken charging cables, as these will pass no current. I bought the Triplett product for two reasons. First, I have trusted the brand since my earliest experience with my Father’s pre-WW2 volt-ohm-milliammeter. Second, Triplett adds the useful feature of a second output connector that doesn’t connect the USB data lines, so the device can prevent malicious access to a device being charged from a public USB source.The device is well made and easy to read. I haven’t checked the accuracy but see no reason to doubt it.

Cheap child's toy quality. Didn't even come close to working. Tried it in multiple locations, multiple times. Get what you pay for I guess. Lesson learned. Buyer beware.

Fast and easy, and like when RV camping you test the post to save your electronics, this tells you before you plug in if it is wired right. Very easily and quickly check standard phone and LAN to protect you, your phone, your computer modem and tells you what is wrong. Great for travel in or out of country. Highly recommended, would but again, and I hope this helps.

This is a handy troubleshooting device for basic phone/line issues. I had hoped it would be a bit more durable. Knocking around in a tool bag is not the place for it. Keep it somewhere safe.

Works as intended, I like the memory function

Al conectarlo hace la función de teléfono descolgado y por lo tanto no marca la entrada de llamadas, no lo recomiendo para su uso en México, tuve que destaparlo y cambiarle las 4 resistencias por unas de 10kohms y quedo bien.

Great product using it for more than a year now.

Was expecting flimsy and got flimsy!
