A fun addition to the Mudbug series
Resurrection in Mudbug introduces a new character, Jadyn St James, a cousin of Maryse’s who comes to Mudbug to be the new Game Warden. A relatively short and straightforward tale, the story quickly involves Jadyn in a murder mystery with the handsome local sheriff, Colt, and his initially sexist attitude an unwelcome complication. And the return of the ghost Helena Henry shocks and dismays everyone who can see her, a group which includes Jadyn. That’s particularly disturbing because seeing Helena generally means that that the life of the person who sees her is in danger. A light and enjoyable escapist read that is definitely recommended.

Good read!
Helena returns to help and confuse the issues. New characters get into just as much trouble as the old ones.

YEA, SHE'S BACK!!!
As with the other three books in the series, I enjoyed this book immensely and laughed my self silly at my favorite resident ghost's antics. There are likable new characters and most of the characters from previous book are present. Unlike it predessors, this book focused primarily on the mystery. There wasn't any romance and there wasn't a sex scene. Based on previous reviews, I'm sure that some readers will rejoice at the absence of the latter. Personally, I never had a problem with two people finding romance in the face of danger. It seemed logical to me. When one is faced with the uncertainity of whether they will live to see tomorrow what's wrong with seizing romance while you can. lolAnyway, the shift in the plot broke the series out of it's previous formulastic plots which is a good thing. It will hopefully prevent future plots from becoming trite. Moreover, although I love Helena's hailarious antics I would hate for this portion of the series to become a joke that is no longer funny and entertaining. However, as far as this book is concerned that was definitely not the case. I can't wait to read what stunts for Helena the author will come up with next. Fall 2013 can't come fast enough!Although I still think that the books are overprice by a dollar, if not two, I still plan to continue reading the series. Buy it, read it; Enjoy!

Funny
This book is just as funny if not more funny than the last! Highly recommend if you’ve read the others in the series.

Fun mystery
4 StarsI laughed so hard in places. This is a light hearted book. Some old characters are back and a few new ones. I like the characters, the laughter, the strong women. The main Character that is back is Helena Henry. She has been in Heaven for a year and now she is back causing mayhem. Helen was not a nice person when she was alive. She still has a lot of issues.Their is a couple of scenes with Helen running around scared for her life or scaring others that just made me laugh out loud. The type of scenes that you just want to stop reading and share it with others.Jayden is the new game warden. She is also Maryse cousin. Her first day on the job is a wild one . She also sees Helena talking with Maryse. So everyone is worried that her life is in danger.Colt is the sheriff of Mudbug. He has issues with Jayden. He is the take charge type of person. This book is a fast paced story. takes place in small town of Mudbug, Louisiana and the surrounding swamp areas.I hope we see more of Helen and her friends back for more fun and laughter. I will read more books by Jana Deleon.I bought it on Amazon.

Why did Jadyn give up her gun.
I really enjoy this series, but I'd like to see the women truly stand on their own and take the lead, not just pout and talk about it.

Helena's back in Mudbug
So glad to see Helena back and reeking havoc, the explanation of her being back make sense if you know Helena. I enjoyed the storyline as well as the new character. I'm really enjoying this series and recommend it. I enjoyed the audible narration I purchase to listen to as I read along.

Helena's Back!
I've read the first three books in the Mudbug series, and thought that was the end of the series. I was pleasantly surprised to find this one. I'm a huge fan of the series, this book however was just OK for me.Jadyn St. James is starting her first day as the new game warden in Mudbug Louisiana. She was recommended for the job by her cousin Maryse who was the subject of the first Mudbug book. Her first day, and her first call seem to set the tone for her time in Mudbug. A shrimp boat is sinking in the swamp and she is called to the scene. There she finds a group of men fighting over small bags of money floating in the swamp. And alligators lining up at the shore for what seems to be their lunch buffet. The last thing Colt wants to do is break in a new game warden, even one that looks as good as Jadyn does. But as sheriff, he knows anything that turns up in the swamp technically falls under the jurisdiction of the game warden. But this simple scene may prove to be more complicated than either of them can guess. So he will play nice with the new game warden.Only bad things happen when the ghost of Helena Henry shows up. She's back, and Jadyn can see her. That usually means that bad things are coming her way, and when Helena is involved it usually means death threats, running for your life and dealing with Helena's wardrobe choices.I really wanted to love this newest book in the series. It was typical of the others up until the end. I don't know if the author is planning on a part two of this story, or what. It just ended. The romance part of the story was just not there. There was conclusion as far as the mystery/crime was concerned, but I was disappointed with the ending.

Another fantastic book
Just when we thought that we had lost Helena Henry for good she comes back from heaven just as big and bold as before and i love it!! I was so sad when i thought the last book was going to be it and i'm so glad that it wasn't. Never thought i would love books about a ghost but i cannot get enough of these books, i have devoured every one of them and hope they never end, Every character in these books is great and you wish you knew them personally, the stories are fab and i cannot give enough praise to the Author, Brilliant laugh out loud series

good
Well i was surprised how i enjoyed this book ... for one i generally stay away from girly type books but although it has a bit of "girlishness" in it i enjoyed the over all story which has a mix of suspense murder mystery and a ghostly mother-in-law ... this was a free e book which is why i tried it .... but i have now ordered the 3 other books in the series ... each book deals with a different characters life but each of the other characters who are all connected appears in each others story's which is a good twist ... worth the read.

Loved it!
I absolutely loved the Mudbug series! I hated the fact that i finished them all!!! The books contain a mixure of humour, romance and mysterious ghostly goings on!! I loved Helena! Throughout the books, you got to realise why she was such a pain in the backside when she was alive!!! And she was hilarious in death! I only wish these books could be made into a film as to see all the weird outfits Helena appears in would just be hilarious! Start with the first book, then buy all the rest as i guarantee you will want to read them all!!!

Great Read
I have enjoyed this series of books very much, only downloaded the first one because it was free but then had to buy the rest to find out what happens next, Helena as the ghost has been very funny, hope there is more to come from this author. I have just started on the Miss Fortune series by Jana DeLeon and found these even funnier. Hope she keeps up the good work
