my favorite way to store my cat treats, no more stale snacks for my kitty
ive got myself a fat of house cat that loves her treats and this is my favorite way to store them.it can hold a couple bags at a time so i can mix up her treats.i can fur sure tell it keeps the snacks fresh compared to just using the bags they are sold in.love that its made of plastic and not glass. almost all of the other canisters for sale are glass, which my cat would love to watch smash into a million shards and spread across the hardwood floors.the other option was metal. tho durable, they are not very see thru and my cat def doesn't like when i run out of treats and will sing me the song of her people at 4am if i go to bed without providing her with a couple little bedtime snacks.the one this is replacing was knocked off its shelf (3ft off the ground) more times than i can count over the years and would just bounce off the floor. this is the second one Ive picked up but will buy again if i need to.

Perfect for storing guacamole--but don't lose the valves
I use this for one thing: storing guacamole. I put the leftover guac in this, push the lid down, which seals the guac off from air. The next day, the guac is still great. No brown at all. Use some, put the lid back down, the guac stays perfect. I keep guac in it for several days, with no browning.UPDATE: I just learned how to clean out the top. I thought the little arrows on it were telling you to rotate it while pressing down on the food, but they were to show you how to take the top apart for cleaning. Duh! After using, you take apart the top and clean it by hand. If you don't, old food gunk stays in there.LATER UPDATE: I'm on my third one of these. I dropped and broke one of them. What happened to the other one was that at some point I lost one of the two small blue valves inside the top. Apparently, they can come off and disappear during washing if you are not careful. When I lost the first one, I just covered the hole with a little piece of duct tape and that actually worked fine. But then I lost the second valve and the container stopped blocking air very well. So, I suggest keeping an eye on those two little valves--as well as the loose round rubber seal which is also in there--when you are washing out the top.

Not really airtight
Put some coffee beans in there. 3 days later, the fragrance seems diminished. I have the other kind with the co2 valve. I'll go back to that for coffee storage.
