Mestemacher Protein Bread, 8.8 Ounce (Pack of 9)

I live this bread. It has a rich nutty taste that reminds me of breads that I enjoy when I am in Europe. It also has high protein and is low carb and fiber. Satisfying.

Sliced nice & thin but very dense with awesome chewy little seeds & a great feel in your mouth. I didn't fully toast it but a little. Flavor is homemade real classic goodness. Like from a long time ago when bread Was always made homemade dense fresh & satisfying. Great recipe. The bonus is I feel good after I eat it. Reenergized & ready to get on with my afternoon. A true mark of an excellent protein bread. And oh yeh low carb. Win Win. Thank you soo much for making & sharing such a great food product. : ) Also I just left out 1 pak & put the rest into freezer bags & into the freezer. That's where I keep my smart buns also maximum freshness that way. Though gotta say this bread is definitely my new fav. ; )

Buying this bread since years, always from the same, trusty shop which ships the bread packages in a box, boxed in a box. They were out of stock the last time I ordered and I stumpled over this supplier. Biggest mistake with bread sell ever. No carton box , loose in an amazon plastic bag. Driver threw it on the ground without taking any care. You might imagine that nearly all of the 9 packages had broken bread inside. I am trying to make the best out of this and so I sliced the already broken bread slices into smaller pieces, drying them right now at 175 F in the oven with the intention to use them as croutons on my salad. After finishing this message I eill check if my trusty supplier has stocked up. I only can advise to stay away from this shop. Otherwise => this is a perfect product, very delicious and healthy - helped me to loose 70 lbs of weight!

Healthy ingredients listed but expiration date is one year after purchase which leads me to wonder if the plastic wrap packaging is suffused with preservatives? It would be great if the company would explain more about how the bread is supposed to stay fresh so long. At any rate, one of my packages was moldy, though the expiration date is still 12 months away. See photos. Other than the one package, the bread was tasty toasted or not toasted. It had a good, dense feel with lots of tiny seeds. At 10 grams of protein a slice, I was interested to try it but it costs about $1 a slice.

It’s not like the traditional wheat flour bread you are used to. However, it’s not that bad. It has good-for-you ingredients like flaxseeds. High in fiber, low in carbohydrates. If you are keto -conscious this is a good bread to get you that bread fix with low carbs. A slice of this, toasted with my breakfast satisfies my need for bread.

I pay a lot of attention to fitness and nutrition and now that I'm middle aged, I'm focused on replacing empty calories (like bread and pasta) with high protein alternatives. The nutrition rule of thumb for non-active adults is 1/2 your weight in grams of protein per day....and this bread helps me get there. The taste and texture is amazing and much better than my own bread recipes - it's become our permanent go-to in our household.

They are small. Each slice. But they work well. Getting them toasted takes a bit, but... can be done. I enjoy the flavor, ease, and longevity. Very good for all sorts of things, and it brings bread back into my keto diet. I can't have them every day, but a few times a week, without wrecking diabetic control. And, you do get a goodly lot for the price, packaged so that they can be used over time without large portions going bad all at once. I really can't complain.
