Wald 135 Front Grocery Bicycle Basket (14.5 x 9.5 x 9, Black)

My wife and I have two adult trikes and we wanted a little more carrying capacity. They have baskets on the back, but she likes to have her purse up front where she can keep an eye on it. I was very pleased when I received this basket. It is a sturdy affair, made of metal construction that had no 'give' to it at all. The handlebar clamps grip tightly and aren't going to move once tightened down. Combined with the struts that attach to the bike's front axle, the basket is firmly in place. It does not rattle nor does it move from side to side. You would think it came as a part of the original bike! And it holds a great deal more than just my wife's purse. You could actually do some shopping and carry home your grocery bags in this capacious basket! We are wll pleased and think it is a good product, well worth the price. RECOMMENDED!

I bought this "front" basket for the back rack of my black scooter. The mounting brackets weren't that hard to remove but I wish I could have bought a black back basket for my black scooter like the chrome one I bought for my grey scooter. So I paid extra for a basket with extra pieces I had to remove just so I could get the color I wanted. :)

Installed on a converted fat bike cruiser. This is a solid basket, big enough for everything I need for a day of cruising.It did take a little modifying to fit onto the fat bike, but that's due to the braze-ons on the bike. The fender/rack attachment point on the front fork is set far back and on the inside of the fork - I couldn't fit the struts inside or outside. But a couple of 2" brackets and some lock washers were all the modifications needed.

Seems like a quality basket but I've only just installed it. USA made and appear to be secure. I had only two issues with the basket. The included nuts and bolts seemed cheap, not a huge issue. Second was the fit. Due to the style of my front fork I couldnt attatch the support arm to the basket where the mounts on the basket originally were. I ended up repositioning the mounts which all it took was some prying and re-clamping and I was able to install it just fine. I posted photos of my bike so you can see if youd run into the same issue. Honestly I'd still buy it again knowing now what I had to do. I just want to let others be aware that it might not be "ready out of the box" for some bikes. If it holds up well and the paint doesnt chip off I'll give it 5 stars

I encountered this basket on a used Linus Dutchi and bought this one for a Liv Giant bike. It has 700c wheels for reference. The handlebars are much thicker than the basket is designed but it still works great. I'm temporarily using twist ties to hold it in place while I get some small cables to properly secure it. Because of the larger diameter bars on modern bikes the bolt won't fit as designed. Since the basket hangs with force I'm not worried about it slipping off or breaking the twist ties. I almost sent it back until I tried it.

I bought this basket for my daughter's bike specifically because it has a lower brace. It was easy to install and seemed fine, but when my daughter knocked her bike over, the basket bent. For the price, I expected it to be sturdier. It's pliable by hand and I was able to bend it back into relative shape.. It still holds her items (a flute, her lunchbox, a couple of books), but now it's wonkly. So disappointing.

I looked at SO MANY baskets before settling on this one. I wanted one that wasn't going to bounce around or rub the paint off the front of my bike by resting on it. I didn't need a removable basket, as I will simply put a liner in this one that can be easily lifted out if needed. This fits perfect! It is very sturdy. Once installed, it feels like it is part of the bike. No wiggle and jiggle. Very happy! I even bought an extra for a friend!

Awesome basket! It was extremely easy to install on my vintage Schwinn. It's super sturdy and doesn't rattle at all when riding. I commute 6 miles to work and it's the perfect size to hold my lunch bag, a water bottle, and pair of heals. The black also looks super slick and I believe will withstand the elements better than a normal chrome one would.
