Work so well its incredible.
I was skeptical at first if 5-HTP would really do anything for me, especially with the limited research and study data out there and how little information there is on long term side effects, however i decided on a whim to just buy it and give it a shot and i'm so happy I did.Ever since I started taking 5-htp, i've been much happier or its been easier to let myself be happy and less irritable, I often notice that as a result of this ive been keeping good posture while walking places as a result of my good mood, and that I feel like i've been walking with meaning.Personally I take 1 100 mg pill in the morning, with liquid, after eating as a common use of 5-HTP along side helping with sleep and lessening anxiety, is that of reducing appetite and since I am slender enough as is, i make sure to eat before taking the pill, plus generally it's better to take meds/supplements not on an empty stomach, then another 100 mg pill later in the afternoon if I feel like I need it to ride me through the rest of the day.Its not really possible to tell if its wonderful effect on me is due to it effectively converting to serotonin in my body and making me feel great or placebo or a combination of them both, but it doesn't really matter if at the end of the day its still providing the same positive effect on me.I do, however, want to say that if you want to start taking this because something happened in your life or you've been hit with a wave of "badness" or whatever, please keep in mind you're still directly playing with your bio-chemistry, neuro-chemistry, and neurotransmitters which obviously one small little mistake could make your body essentially kill itself. So while there is limited research, If you're on any other medication, esspecially those that also effect your neuro-chemistry (dopamine, oxytocin or some other serotonin related medicine such as stimulants or anti-depressants) or heart related medication, please be safe and find out as much information as you can and if needed consult your doctor and if you decide to take it, dont go in on a full dose, start with opening the capsules and throwing out most of the powder and taking only like 30mg or so to watch out for any side effects and that way if anything bad happens, it won't be nearly as severe as if you were to take a whole dose.Overall 10/10 experience personally, and this company seems to be pretty good, just be safe and do your research.

Depression/Anxiety & Mental Training
So after my surgery I have been a nervous, anxious wreck and then very depressed as of late. So bad that I was thinking of asking for medication from my doctor, which I simply refuse to take drugs. I did LOTS of reseach and found 5HTP. So, as a final resort I decided to try this AND L-Theanine. I take one of each in the morning and around dinner time/before bed. Take this on a empty stomach as per the directions. I am not sure if it is a placebo effect or what, but Ive been taking LTheanine for about 2 weeks before adding this 5HTP and so far I feel better. My mood has improved greatly. I dont feel so much like a dead empty zombie and I feel less anxious. I can think a bit clearer and not so many crazy worrying thoughts buzzing around my head keeping me up at night. I am not 100% but when I feel like I am about to slip into a panic or soul sucking hole (if you suffer anxiety/depression then you get it) I can snap out of it faster or push it away and avoid the downward spiral completely. A lot of it I find requires mental training to distract yourself from when youre about to sink and try to avoid thinking about past occurences that might trigger it. Put on music. Play with your dogs. Just do something to distract yourself and also think of something else that makes yiu happy. I think with the "mind over matter" way of thinking has helped along with adding these supplements- they work together. I will update as time goes on but I am so happy this seems to be helping me from falling.
