Fit well and work great
I bought these as a gift for a concrete cutting contractor. The cutting of the concrete produces "slurry" which burns the skin and ruins clothing. The leather protected his legs and pants from burns. Even though the slurry burns through clothing in one day, he said these lasted months. I have ordered 2 other times and he is very happy with them.

Worth the money not going to find any leather pants cheaper than that hold up as well
They work great and they fit good.

Good quality. Just a bit too long.
Impressed with these. The are a bit long so I trimmed some off the bottom and they fit great. Descent quality and thickness. They are really hot to wear in the summer but safety is top priority.

Preparing for a cold and wet riding season.
I have put off buying chaps for years. I am less than thrilled to look like a member of the Village People. I caved in as this last season cooled and wet weather returned.I was pleasantly surprised upon opening the sack that contained the chaps. The leather is surprisingly heavy and thick. The construction decent. The hardware is sufficient for long term, heavy duty use. I wasn't 100% sure chaps at this price level would be as advertised. I expected thin leather or hide with scars. There is a shop not far from here that carries brand name, very expensive, leathers. The chaps are very similar to the ones in the shop at 5X the price. Yes, the stiching is a bit better and the brand named chaps are hemmed, but nothing that justifies the huge price difference. Well, unless you put a load of value on the embossed logo.I've been using the chaps in chilly and wet weather. They are working remarkably well. Efficient wind blocking and good splash protection from spray off of the front tire from wet roads. Naturally in heavy down pours my jeans still get wet. These aren't leather pants. However, chaps are worn over denim jeans and jeans are much easier to clean than leather pants. The knees are reinforced or double thick. Bulky to walk around, but nice if you leave the bike unwillingly. Personally I wear them to protect me while I ride, not for fashion. One last note for people who will use these chaps in less than ideal riding conditios; order leather conditioner or mink oil with your chaps. I used an entire tin of water-proofing/conditioner on that thirsty leather. They asked if I would recommend Alpha Gear chaps? Yes, I do.

Amazing Chaps
Lots of leather and coverage. A bit more chaps than I wanted. Leather quality is fine; not very supple and needs oiling. Nothing really wrong and a great value.

Very Good for The Price
I have to say, these chaps are fairly good quality for the price. I'm 6'1" 270lbs. I bought the size 38 and it fits well. I'm on the third hole in the belt. The length of the pants is right on! The only thing I can say (and I pretty much knew this going in because of the price) is the leather is pretty thin - if it is indeed leather. When you put your nose to them, they kinda smell like a car tire, and the thickness and texture it could go either way...very thin, cheap leather or some kind of vinyl. I rode around with them on in 50 degree weather here in WI for about an hour and they did keep my legs warmer though. They do look good as well. I would guess that these would offer very little, if any rash protection in case of a crash.

Fit great for a big guy
I've always had issues finding pants or shorts that fit me because of being 6'5" and 370lbs. I love riding in the summer on my motorcycle but always got hot in pants when I get to my destination so chaps were the obvious choice. I ordered a 48 even tho my normal size is a 46 and these things fit great. Very well made and super comfortable to wear on rides. The side zippers make it convenient to zip them off when I get to my destination so I can be in shorts on hot days. Then zip them back on to have the protection of leather pants as I ride again.

Nice for the Price
I needed some chaps for when the weather gets a little cooler and I'm not ready to put the bike away for the winter. I'm getting up there in age and old man winter isn't nice to my arthritis. Being in the north, I just wanted to get in a few extra rides when I can. I looked at some of the name-brand chaps and they were pretty expensive. Knowing I would not be wearing these all the time, I wanted something a little more economical. I am pleasantly surprised by these. Are they the thickest? Nope. Are they the smoothest leather? Nope. Will they get shredded if I ever lay down the bike? Probably. They would never be considered top of the line chaps, but then, they aren't marketed as such. These have a thin material lining in the upper portion, they zip all the way down for easy on and off and they can be cut to length. They block most of the wind so I can ride longer when it's cool out. Knowing what I was buying, I am pleased with them. They do what I bought them for and that makes me happy.
