From Cluttered to Chic: The Perfect Floating Shelves
Let's talk about transforming your space with STOREMIC Floating Shelves. These 38cm white shelves have completely revamped my room's aesthetic, and I'm here to share my experience after 5 months of installation.First off, I decided on a 2-at-the-top, 1-at-the-bottom arrangement, which perfectly suited my room's layout. The sleek, modern design instantly adds a touch of elegance to any space. The installation process was pretty straightforward. The shelves come with a handy guide that walks you through the steps. They include screws and materials for both dry walls and brick walls, which was convenient. I was working with a dry wall, and while the instructions were clear, a quick YouTube video made the process even easier. However, I did encounter a hiccup with the provided dry wall screws—they kept breaking as I tried to install them. This was a bit frustrating, but I managed to make do with the other screws included. While these weren't ideal for dry walls and made the shelves less stable, I had no other choice at the time.Installing the stands first involves a bit of measuring and leveling, especially if you're a perfectionist like me. But once you get the hang of it, it’s not too difficult. After securing the stands, you just slip the shelf on and screw the bottom to secure it, achieving that sleek floating effect. One minor downside was the paintwork. The white edges seemed to be chipping straight out of the box, and there were a few stains and marks on some shelves. While not a deal-breaker, it was a bit disappointing. The only real issue I have is the gaps/lines between the tiles. From a distance, they’re not that visible, but as you can tell from the picture, they’re definitely there. A solution we thought of only after installing them was to paint the back of the wall a similar color so it blends in. This is a suggestion I ask you to consider. I did also buy a similar colored paint pen to color in the gaps, but this proved to be unsuccessful. Definitely paint the wall a similar color so it blends in before you install!Despite these small issues, the end result is fantastic. The shelves have helped me declutter my space and provide a dedicated area for my books and décor items. I love walking into my room now—it feels more organized and aesthetically pleasing. One thing to note is that the shelves do attract dust, especially since they're white and positioned high up. As a clean freak, this can be a bit annoying, but it's nothing a quick wipe-down can't fix.So many people have been asking where I got these shelves, and they’re obsessed with my setup. The shelves definitely add a touch of sophistication to any room. Before purchasing, I scoured reviews for inspiration on setup and to gauge general experiences. I hope my review helps you in the same way. If you're looking to elevate your space, I highly recommend these shelves. While the price is a bit steep, the transformation is worth it.In conclusion, these shelves are a stylish and functional addition to any room, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Great shelfs
Great quality shelf, easy to install. They're hollow in the middle which makes them slightly weak and less stable. They're perfect for photo frames, candles, a small flower pot etc. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it like ps5/Xbox series X, air purifer.

Exactly as advertised
Work really well in my room and hold a decent amount of weight. The shelves are perfect for holding a number of different items, including my PS5 and my Lego collection! They look really well and were really easy to put up.

didnt use half the items they gave, sturdy enough
READ IF YOU HAVE DRYWALL1) i personally didnt have to use the drywall wall mount and as you can see we were able to install it with just using the nails. (initially to add more security you would put the wall mount first then the nail with the shelf bracket but i had no use for it as it was weak and useless for my wall)2) the brackets are just a teeny bit flimsy so dont bend it too much because it will damage it, but you still have to bend it a tiny bit to get the actual shelf on the two poles3) instructions are clear enough however if youre unsure what wall you have a simple google search will solve your problem4) this is a two person job if you want precision and accuracy

Decent little floating shelves, although fixings could be better.
I've already got a number of floating shelves in my home office (IKEA, Lack, Oak colour) and have been impressed by how much weight they can take. Most of my Lego collection is perched on them directly over a lot of valuable computing gear, so I have quite a lot of faith in them.I wanted some additional shelves for a small corner, and I was limited to no more than 500mm in length. Below 600mm and the choice of colour becomes severely restricted, and getting an oak coloured one to match my Ikea ones was impossible. IKEA do a white oak version in 300mm length, but not the regular oak colour. However, from what I read, the fixings for those shelves are atrocious so I gave them a miss. These Storemic shelves have a proper bar and bracket fixing which gave me more confidence. I settled for the white colour as the least offensive alternative. They come in a single box, and each shelf has its own bag of fixings and a single bar and bracket to mount it to the wall. You get fixings for both masonry and plaster board. I usually give the included wall plugs a wide berth whenever I buy products like this, but for reasons that escape me I decided to use the enlosed plugs. They state the use of a 6mm drill bit, which suprised me a little as I use a 5.5mm drill bit for small plugs such as these usually. I followed the instructions and began to put the shelves up. There's nothing too complicated here, and provided you have a spirit level and are carefuly with your measurements you should have these up in no time. However, the shelves wanted to hang forward when I put any weight on them. The shelf, which seats over the two-pronged bar and bracket, was tipping forward, which meant the bar and bracket itself was rolling forward. I had to take the shelves down to investigate why, and it didn't take long to spot. The 6mm hole that the instructions stated was simply too big, and the wall plugs were not secure enough. They were tight enough that the shelves didn't fall, but loose enough to allow a little forward pitch. A 5.5mm drill bit would have been more than enough, maybe even a 5mm. I went out to the garage and fetched some 6mm and 8mm plugs. I found the 6mm plugs were still a little small, most likely because of the crumbly nature of my 1930's house making the hole bigger than it should have been, so I bore the hole out a little deeper and used the 8mm plugs. And, because of that, those shelves aren't going anywhere. They're properly anchored to the wall. So, fixings aside, the shelves are perfectly decent. I'd like to have seen more choice in colour, but I'm happy with them. They've given me a bit more desk space and tidyied a particularly cluttered corner of my office up nicely.
