As with most recycled products, these are flimsier than typical products. In addition, the edges don't quite line up when you bend over the flap, so it's a little puffier than other products. Finally, the coloring very clearly indicates it's been recycled, so I wouldn't use it for ultra-professional purposes. For my purposes (sending packets home with students) it's not a big deal, because the inside of a backpack is pretty typically gross anyway.

I'm one of those weirdos who actually counts to see if there are really 100 envelopes in the package. There were 99. I counted and recounted about 5 times. The envelopes will do their job. They feel quite rough. Almost like construction paper. I know this is most likely because it is recycled paper.

I bought these because they were cheap and I could get them quickly via Amazon Prime.Unfortunately, they arrived in a horrible condition: it seems that the glue on the flaps may have gotten wet at some point, so many of the envelopes were slightly attached to the next one in the stack, and separating them tore them a bit. In addition, the paper is generally pretty weak and tears easily.Before this I never really thought that I needed my clasp envelopes to be high quality. Now I know better.

These envelopes do the job of containing papers that you want to mail. I was happy to find some that were made of recycled material and were sturdy enough. Reviews of some other envelopes suggested that they were not holding together well. These are great.

Absolutely horrible quality. They rip apart with normal handling and you would have to be a fool to mail anything in these envelopes. They are getting a chance to be recycled again because I threw the whole box in the garbage.

Not great quality. Ripped when I wrote on the envelope. Won't use for mailing.

I agree with the negative reviews of this product. These envelopes rip very easily. They are quite unsuitable for sending through the mail. I'm using them to file year end receipts, and they are adequate for that purpose.
