Mares X-Vision Ultra Liquidskin Mask (Black)

My 34 year old son with a mustache got this mask and loved it so I wanted to give it a try. I have had this mask for about a week now and have tried it almost every day. I went back and forth with my previous mask for comparison. What I liked most about this mask was the strap adjustments. They were intuitive and easy to use. I also liked the softer more subtle silicone around the face and I liked the strap that went around my head. I tried to take pictures of my inexpensive Popchose mask on the Left next to this Mares mask on the Right. The photos may not help but I tried. The one on the left cost $100 less than this mask and for me they both worked the same. I will probably be sending this mask back. The old mask is deeper from the face to the lenses and I suspect this is part of my problem. I have a rather long nose but so does my son. When he wore my old mask, it leaked on him as well. From the back the old mask seems to have a longer radius around the face and the nose piece is wider as well. The nose depth seems to be about the same. From the front the old mask lenses are similar shape but slightly narrower. Both masks required anti-fog or they would fog up and have limited visibility. I was really hoping for a leak free experience as my son had. I will say that the leaking is not as bad as my old mask but it still leaked and I am having nasal issues now because of all the water up my nose. I will contact the manufacturer to see if they have any things I might try to improve the performance. I will revisit this review after that.
