Digital Grill Meat Thermometer with Probe for Smoker Grilling Food Thermometer

I love this ThermoPro digital cooking thermometer. The readout is clear. The programming makes sense. The probe works great.This unit replaced a tool with a similar purpose but from another company. That old unit's probe died and they had no customer support! Given many positive reviews I decided to try this ThermoPro unit. So far that looks like a smart decision.I'm also impressed with the MANY pics posted by other reviewers. What the heck, here are some more. I hope you find them helpful.1. Very well packaged. Everything present.2. Batteries included. You must install them. On my unit the batteries installed with a little extra push compared to battery units. That's not a complaint, just an observation. It was not difficult.3. The stand-up feature worked.4. The display was easy to read.5. Just a couple minutes after opening the box, this thermometer was hard at work on a roast in the crock pot. The illumination of the readout window worked well.So far I'm very happy with this unit. I hope you have a similar experience.

Bought this item in Aug 2018. Since then it has been used in dozens of barbecues, roasts, etc. Zero complaints, has the features I need and does what a probe thermometer is supposed to do.Recently I've noticed the probe cable fraying a little which will pierce your skin if you squeeze the frayed sections of the metal wire. This isn't a big deal for me since the probe has been used, abused, and thoroughly neglected. My main issue is that the temperature is reading about 1 to 2 degrees Fahrenheit higher. This was checked against an instant read thermometer with barometric pressures in my area taken into account. Again not the biggest issue but I'd prefer to hit 165F internal for chicken then 163F.It's been almost 2 years and I'm curious to know hat kind of customer service Thermopro is dishing out. I contacted them through their website, got a response within reasonable time, gave them my main issue with probe which is accuracy, received instructions to check the temp in boiling water, gave the results of those instructions and finally was asked for my shipping address for a replacement probe. Great customer service and great products. Whenever this pandemic(2020) dies out I'm firing up a nice BBQ and I'll have my trusty Thermpro with me.

I got this thermometer for my fiancé for Christmas. He hasn’t used it much yet, only about 2-3 times. He seems to like it. We have not “validated” if it’s measuring the correct temperature against a criterion thermometer, but the meat for which my fiancé used the product was grilled to its perfection - not undercooked, not over cooked. My fiancé also likes that you can select from different functions about which meat you are grilling. So far so good, giving it 4 stars just because we have not been able to put it in a lot of used yet so can’t tell how reliable it really is.

I was always afraid to get good steaks because I’m an overcooker and ruin expensive cuts of meat. No brainer to get a good, easy to read, thermometer. Watch your steak like a hawk and pop it off the heat about 10 degrees *before* the temp you’re cooking to, then let it rest and finish. This device has some bells and whistles that I never use. Seems well made and accurate.

Arrived, packaging looked fine. I was anxious to receive this digital thermometer, w/ probe. Very nice, professional looking product, display and user interface. Intuitive operation, functions as I expect, still checked the manual just to look for anything I was missing. Used once to check some baked fish against our new analog oven thermometer,...they were consistent, expect the TPo6s to be more accurate as it's digital vs analog. Note the analog thermometer was measuring oven temp, this digital instrument was measuring fish fillet internal temp. This instrument is what I expected, price was very good/competitive compared to other brands and/or sellers. Looking forward to using both on the grill and my new smoker

This was a gift, but I want to give feedback anyway... I am a professional chef and cook for a living. I keep this thermometer at home for the rare chance I am motivated to cook after doing it all day at work. I had an opportunity to use this the other day making a stuffed pork loin roast. When cooking pork loin it is important to not overcook the meat, which means keeping an eye on the temperature is key. With this thermometer I was able to insert the probe in the middle of the roast, set the temperature maximum to my desired temp., and walk away awaiting the alarm. I was very impressed with my roast, and with the thermometer. It does what it is made for, and seems very well built. I might buy a few for work.

I absolutely hate electronic gizmos that require constant referral to the instructions -- once you figure out how to use it, then a month later you've forgotten and have to read up again. This thermometer passed that test with flying colors -- I could actually operate it without referring to the manual. Yes, it's got a lot of buttons, but that's also a good thing since everything is straight forward and the buttons don't change function when you're in different modes. I tested the accuracy with boiling water and it read an accurate 212F. Some reviewers said it felt flimsy and cheap and I did not find that at all -- it seems pretty well made to me.MESSAGE TO ITRONICS: I appreciate that you monitor and comment on these reviews (and that was a deciding factor in my purchase). There are a lot of concerns that point to the durability of the probes. When I received my unit, the wire on the probe was wound into a tight coil and each bend in the wire looked CRIMPED. I don't think that's a good thing with this type of wiring -- you may want to monitor your manufacturing/packing of the probes and see if that's contributing to the failure rate.

I have used this for 2 years and it still works. Its very high quality and very easy to clean. I also have not replaced the battery yet.If you are looking for a thermometer that you can use for all kinds of meat this will work. It has lots of settings for every type of meat.Recommend 5/5

Muy fácil e intuitivo de usar. Las temperaturas que propone para los cocinados no son los que uso yo lo dejo más crudo pero va perfectamente.Lo dejas conectado y ves como va subiendo la temperatura. Unos grados antes del objetivo marcado ya empieza a avisarte de que te estás acercando y cuando llega ya te avisa con un pitido mas insistente. BBB
