Custom Size Window Screen Kit (Bronze) Assembly Required

The directions were easy to follow and we were able to assemble our screen easily and it fit. The You-tube video was very helpful. We didn't have the tools in the video but were able to find something similar in our toolbox that did the trick. A small round tool for putting in the spline would have been helpful.

Slowly re-screening window screens in my house when I came across a broken window frame. Did not want to go to the local hardware store as I always felt out of place. Measured the broken frame twice and inputted my measurements hoping I was correct. When the package came, as I had never put window frames together, there was no instructions with the pieces as to how to snap the pieces together. That was taken care of by a quick youtube video. Put the frame together and compared to my broken frame and was very excited that the frame was the correct size. There was window screen material, spline and pull tabs with the package. I put everything together and it looks fantastic. Will order from seller again if I come across another broken window frame

So I bought this a a cheaper alternative to my mobile home screen that I needed replaced for the screen door, however it was the wrong size even when correctly sized. I am waiting on a hacksaw to correct this myself. The pros, it's a straight cut, it was package with a piece of wood to keep the aluminum from bending and it came with both a screen and the rubber piece.The cons I have to correct the size. The one reason the size is off is because of the plastic tabs to lock it all together, my current screen is an angle cut and doesn't have these exterior plastic tabs. If it was the correct size it would be 5/5, everything else with it is good.

Parts came dented and bent. Not even sure it will fit, but still looks awful.

I have to admit, I was not expecting the best when I placed my order. I have a Larson storm door (now discontiued) and the screen insert had become warped beyond hope. While there are a million kits for WINDOW-sized screens, it'd near impossible to find door-sized ones. As for pre-assembled, that search was hopeless. Found one place in Texas that would create a custom screen for $50--plus $300 to ship it.My order nearly maxed out the size limits of this vendor (73" height), but I was worried that the cut would be off and I'd be stuck with a screen too big or too small to fit my door.When the kit arrived, the box was beat to heck and had me worried. But they plastic wrapped the metal frame parts around a piece of plywood, which kept everything safe and straight. It took about 15 minutes to assemble the frame and put the screen on, and then the moment of truth--putting it into the door.To my surprise, it fit PERFECTLY. I am a very happy customer, and will definitely ve coming back here if I ever need a new door or window screen replacement!

The materials for assembly of the outside screen window appear to be of good quality. I like that the frame is aluminum which is light and easy to assemble. However, the lesson learned is to double check the frame around the window before trimming the aluminum frames by 1-1/2” according to the directions. The shipped frames came with correct dimensions as I specified but did not need to be cut for my application. I have cut the frames and as a result the frame work was too small for the window and so was the provided screen.

In concert with most other reviewers, the measurements in my screen were right on As well It fit my window perfectly. The 'finish' could have been a tad better. The cuts on the frame corners left some small chunks of cut metal embedded in the spline channels. And some spline channels were out-dented a little at the ends. Both were easily fixed. I am delighted with the product and the price.

Requires little assembly, but is something easy. Instructions come with a youtube link for assembly.
