Move over, billionaires!
Move over billionaires, I think I have a new favorite Max Monroe novel.Single Dad Seeks Juliet is funny without being in-your-face about it. It’s heartfelt. It’s unexpected.I’m often leery of storylines where the heroine watches the hero romance another woman. They can be painful to read, just as I imagine that situation would be painful to experience in real life. But I trusted Max Monroe not to do me wrong, and I was not disappointed.I loved seeing Holley and Jake’s relationship develop. From their very first meeting to their happily ever after, the chemistry between these two was strong. The side characters in this story are incredibly charming. I imagine everyone wants a daughter like Chloe and a father like Phil. All around, this one was a win for me.

***5 ‘Sm@xy & Awkward’ Stars***
***5 ‘Sm@xy & Awkward’ Stars***This book was all kinds of fun, hawt, awkward goodness that had me grinning like a fool with each turn of the page and falling further into adoration with all the characters and wanting more when it was all over.I adored Jake and Holley. Jake is all kinds of book boyfriend goodness. Sweet, funny, charismatic and compassionate. I loved his sense of humor and how protective he was of those he called his own. Holley is a fiery little ball of determined awkward goodness. She’s sweet, snarky and leads with her heart.Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of slow burn fun. They definitely had an interesting meet cute, but it was obvious from that first moment that they clicked. I loved their bantering ~ whether it be face to face or via text ~ and just how well they flowed together no matter what was going on and I loved how everything worked out for them in the end. This was that read that just makes you feel good and believe in HEA’s. The angsty-ness was on the low end of the spectrum, but there was just enough to keep things interesting. As for the characters, I fell in love with all of them. Chloe was so much fun, as was Phil, but Garrett ~ yeah, I NEED more of him (which will also mean that I’ll have more of Jake, Holley, Chloe and Phil) because he was all kinds off goodness and deserves his own HEA!

Swooniest single dad!!!
What happens when a single dad is entered into a dating contest? Hilarity is what happens!! Especially when it's written by two queens of rom-com, Max Monroe.Jake is the single dad, entered into the contest, by his teenage daughter. He is an ex Navy SEAL, owner of a construction company and hot AF. Good lord was he swoony!!! He also has a sense of humor that is especially brought out by newspaper reporter Holley. She's been tasked with doing the Bachelor Anonymous contest. Having just gone through heartbreak, it's the last thing she wants to do. I loved Holley so much! She is quirky, a bit awkward, clumsy and beyond hilarious. I laughed out loud so much while reading the banter between these two characters and the side characters....especially her father. In true Max Monroe fashion, they brought all the feels to SDSJ. I did find myself tearing up a bit as both Jake and Holley talked about the hard parts they've been through in their lives.Jake from the ocean and Holley from the tribune (this will make complete sense when you read the hilarity of their meet cute!) will hold a place in favorite books for a long time to come!

Not THAT funny 🤔
I love M/M. Read everything of theirs, but I didn’t like this one. The H was spot on. His development was perfect. The timing with his character was perfect. I don’t know what happened to the h. I hated her. She aggravated me the entire story with her over the top ridiculous narratives and excuses. It was so bad the h became more of a cartoon character in this story. Way to much bumbling and tripping around. Pages filled with so many doubts that I ceased to care for her and focused entirely on the H.Would I buy this book again for $4.99? No. Not worth the build up from M/M. Do yourself a favor, re-read the stories about Kline and Thatch again

So many one liners, so many laugh out moments
It seems with each new book the duo sharpens their comedic chops. Their quick wit, banter, timing, and one liners will have you laughing out loud, spitting out your drink or choking on your food. So be aware.Holley, in a job she doesn't love, running a contest she doesn't believe in, still wants to do a good job. She tries to be a good person and in doing that meets Jake while waiting to meet Jake. The scene is hilarious, thus Jake from the Ocean meets Holley from the Tribune. There are certain things I will never think of again without at least a giggle, FaceTime, pickles, and flea markets among them. All of the characters in this book were great, I really hope we see Garrett get his own book! This is a must read!

Single Father Romance
Single Dad Seeks Juliet is a swoon worthy, single father romance. I really enjoyed most of this book. My only qualm is the sexy bit was short and I couldn’t really tell what happened. I loved the characters. I’m sure we will get more set in this world. Loved this quote.“I set my fork down and settle my hand into my chest, no doubt in an attempt to stop the newly awakened flutter under my ribs. Goodness gracious, single dads—good ones—really do have a hotness about them that’s unmatched. I think it’s because they show their ability to love. With every conversation, every kiss, every consideration they give their kids, women see the opportunity to be given the same. It’s concrete, black-and-white evidence of a man’s ability to think outside of himself. Which isn’t exactly on the top of the list of the male’s biological strengths.”I voluntarily read an early copy.

Fantastic
LOVED! Another absolute winner! The minute I started reading Single Dad Seeks Juilet I knew I was going to love it. I was laughing already by the end of the first page! This is a romcom at his best!Jake is a ex navy seal and single dad to 17 year old Chloe, she worries about him and doesn't want him to be alone when she goes off to college so with the help of her friend she decides to sign Jake up for a Bachelors auction, I mean he probably won't be picked so he never will find out........wrong!Holley is the report at the newspapers that is organising the auction. Why would the pick her to organise this she wonder?a After being cheated on by her ex Holley is nursing a broken heart, her love life is non existent.Holley and Jake spend a lot of time together, as part of her job she needs to help plan the 5 dates that he goes on.Their banter had me laughing so much and anytime these two were together the sparks were flying!Loved Chloe, who wanted nothing but the best for her Dad, oh and Holley's Dad! Omg! He was hysterical! I don't think I have ever laughed so much! Oh and Garrett! How could I forget him! I seriously hope we are going to get his story next.

Not too bad
This book is ok. The characters are great but the chapters are very short. Chapter 4 is only 3 pages long. I read the whole book in 2 nights.
