Pockets, Sizing, Durability, Biking Style -- some thoughts
RATING: I rounded up to a 5, as these are a no-regrets, no-complaints buy, but really they fall more into a 4.25/4.5 class. That said, I purchased two initially, and was satisfied enough I got another pair.POCKETS - The ZIP pockets are placed ideally for biking. You can zip and unzip them rather easily even while coasting at a decent pace. I take lots of pics of corny nature stuff, and also sometimes feel the need to flip the song on my little bluetooth mini speaker, and sometimes answer an emergency call. So my phone is in and out a few times during a 2.5 hour ride. I have never once struggled to get my phone in and out of the pocket, nor had issues with the zippers, again, even while coasting on my bike (of course, while on non grueling paths)Having my phone in that upper zip pocket does not affect my ride at all. I can barely feel it, and I think that is because it fits rather snugly in there. It doesn't jostle or feel like its trying to pop out. Also, my car keys (little fob kind with two regular keys attached) didn't annoy me either when in the other upper or lower pocket. They don't wave around as I pedal or flip and flop. This is essential when riding.A couple of things to note:I have an iPhone 11 -- I am not sure how the "max" sizes of cell phone lines will work in the pockets. It seems as though they might fit in the lower zip pocket, but would be horizontal not vertical -- that might affect your ride/feel depending on your body type. They won't fit in the upper zips at all, it seems to me.Even though there are two zip pockets on each side, they are "on top of each other." Meaning, if you have an item in each, they will be layered, one inner, one outer -- so they might pop out a bit. It's why I never use both on same side -- phone on one upper zip, keys on the other side. The "jeans"-style non zip pockets are fine -- but not really comfy or useful when biking.SIZING -- I am a size 31-32 in jeans, but small seemed an unwise choice. I went with Medium and they fit perfectly. Meaning, I dont need to adjust those velcro straps at all. So the sizing chart is a bit off. Medium currently states 33-36. Maybe they are trying to translate sizes to us huskier Americans, but they're a little off. I would size up based on their (as of July21) chart. Meaning, if you're really a 35/36, the large might be better.DURABILTY - I have worn and washed my first two pairs about 5 times ... and while that is not a ton, I can kinda tell that these are NOT meant to last a lifetime. I've only biked in them, and played pickleball once. No threads coming out, no tears, no noticeable wear. BUT, they really are just a buncha cloth panels kinda slammed together - which is I guess what you pay for at this relatively cheaper price. I don't use the velcro strappy things as M's fit me, but I can see these a) coming undone while you're wearing them cause they seem flimsy and b) not working generally either through wear or washing -- just my feeling on those.BIKING STYLE - As mentioned, I bike mostly on nature paths of asphalt, slightly loose gravel, and dirt -- using a hybrid bike. I do not do any heavy duty mountain biking. I would NOT get these for that type of riding. These are for more casual riding -- as indicated by the non-crotch padding. Also, I can't speak to whether pads will fit in these, as those are not really my thing. So, I can see these lasting 1.5-2 years ... 50/60 washes and wears, before something might go awry with the materials themselves. Compare to, well, mens swim trunks or even golf shorts ... I kinda buy those and they'll be with me for much longer.USING FOR OTHER STUFF -- I have only two other types of shorts: zany pant-styled golf shorts, and basketball shorts. These have more give than the first, and are a slimmer, tighter profile than the latter. They are great for causal/intermediate biking compared to my other shorts -- not being flappy in the wind, but letting me move more freely has been huge. They also seem like they'd be great for anything around the water - boating, fishing, etc -- though I'm no real expert on that stuff. They are NOT great for pickleball or Tennis ... it's not easy to get balls in and out of the pockets at all. And the pockets (all of them) are too small for the balls to fit comfortably. They seem ok for casual wear -- but I got them in crazy colors, to help avoid being hit by cars and things, so not sure safety orange or gumball blue are good for daily life. One last thing -- the name is awful. My daughter and I love the random assortment of letters that some chinese manufacturers affix to things. We have an iPad case from TOPESCT -- we laugh daily trying to figure out how to say it or what it might mean. Please reply if you have an idea.that said, Arsuxeo = Arse Sucks Tuxedo? Sucks butt sweat fancy pants! Sorry if that offends, but we find it Hilarious.

Size 40 to 42? Look here. An mtb short that actually fits.
I am lucky enough to have been blessed with good proportioning of my body. I am a 60 year old, white male, likely of Scottish descent, (adopted, so unknown for certain) and my belly is about the only issue finding bike clothing. 5' 11" 230lb as of my purchase in May 2023. Most all other XXl clothing is a bit tight, some are not even close, as I believe the makers just put whatever label on the same medium article. These shorts however Arsuxeo, fit spot on. I wear a padded lycra short under them, and use a thin belt, and now after a few rides, I have bought a second pair, and may just buy a third to make certain I have proper fitting bike shorts for the future as you just never know when a company will stop making something. I wear size 40 waist in most heavy denim work clothing. Using a sewing tape, my actual waist line, just above the hips where a belt rides in real life, measures 44" inches. Or, about 112 cm. These Arsuxeo shorts fit that waist like a perfect glove. I would imagine a 42" actual measure waist would still be able to wear these, just would have to use the vecro waist reducing feature, and for certain wear a belt. A person with a 46" actual measure would certainly be able to wear these without issue. As far as features, I don't use much other than the usual waist pockets, but they are sized right and seem to hold my belongings just fine while off road on my mtb. The leg room for my legs is just right. They are loose enough to allow good bike handling, but not so loose as to hang up on everything. Just right for me. The shorts stretch in all the right directions enough to be comfortable when on the bike, and also when wearing them for any other purpose really. I'm giving 5 stars across the range. I have bought them again already, and likely will buy more just to have them on hand because it is difficult for me to find proper fitting bike specific clothing. That said, my one desire for these, would be to ad an additional belt loop on each side of the front closure, a bit closer to the closure. It's just annoying to have such a long span between belt loops in the front.

My favorite MTB shorts!
I don't own any of the mega expensive MTB shorts from bigger name brands, but I can't imagine that they are really any different than these, and you can get 3 pairs of these for the same price as 1 pair from those others! These are great shorts, with stretchy, breathable material. I like the elastic band around the waist, which ensures a good fit. Size small fits me perfectly (30 inch waist). I like the length, to not leave a gap between the shorts and the knee pads. I have noticed some have that flare at the bottom, as another reviewer mentioned, but it's not that big of a deal and doesn't affect you when riding. I did try a pair of the other style from this brand, but they were shorter and DID leave a gap between the shorts and the knee pads, especially when pedaling, so I prefer this style.

Great shorts
I'm done spending $100 on bike shorts. This is my second pair of these. I've had the first pair for three years, and, other than some mud stains, they're still in perfect condition. The fit is perfect, they're soft, they're not noisy like endura shorts. I'm 5'10", 210 lbs and I wear a large.

First pair was good but not the second pair
I had bought these before and put them to the test. They were and still are great. The second pair I bought blew the crotch out on my third time wearing them with minimal use. I missed the return window and I'm sure the company will make this right but I'm having a hard time finding a contact.

No reason to buy anything else. other to have options.
These shorts these are my 3rd pair. Had to get a few colors. I wear them around the house and when not doing anything of business'. i feel they are better than the AAA brands. Get them while they are still not an expensive item/company.
