Finally! I've been trying very hard to find a solution for my Great Pyranees who drags his back feet. I wanted something with a rubber sole that wouldn't rotate while he walks. Muttluks traditional style booties fit well but spin and look hot and uncomfortable. He regularly wears nail caps to prevent him from rubbing his nails bloody. Those make his toenails extra long though and the vast majority of booty brands cannot accommodate. I don't make him wear booties 24/7 so he needs protection even when he doesn't have them on. I've tried paw pad stickers that don't stay on at all. Pawz are my second choice go to after these. They work well but they only last a couple of weeks and they don't breathe at all. These mud boots have a great top to them which comfortably accommodates his double dews. The extra length on the velco lets you tie them up how your dog needs. They stay on great for us. They are soft inside with no painful seams and no need to wear socks underneath. The rubber sole stays put and doesn't spin on his foot. The price is high but for us they are a medical necessity so I don't mind the cost.

These are great for the purpose I intended. Our old dog 'slides' on our wood and tile floors and these help her get her "footing". They seemed well made, sturdy, and are easy to put on and take off. She got accustomed to them after a few hours. Now I put them on each morning before her first walk and we take them off after her last outside walk. Very pleased with this purchase and worth the money.

Heads up! Read the product description carefully. I expected four boots, as is typical for quadrupeds and as I got when I purchased Muttluks in the past. The boots are very well made, but $50 for two?! Decision time: Return them or spend another $50 to complete the set. (I should feel lucky. My grandchildren spend hundreds of dollars on sneakers - which come in pairs, as is appropriate given their upright postures.)

what a waste of time They only send two booties...sorry but my dog has 4 paws. Did I wrongly assume the company was selling 4 paw booties with one order or am I supposed to do 2 orders of 2 booties so I have 4? Really stupid. The 2 booties (which I'm sending back) are super heavy duty and look like they'd be VERY uncomfortable for my dog. Next time I buy dog booties I guess I have to mention my dog has 4 paws.

It's hard to find shoes for a Great Dane. The soles fit, but the ankles don't pull tight enough to keep them from spinning upside down. He spends more time walking on the tops.

My old dog sometimes starts dragging her back feet when she gets tired on walks. These stay on even with some dragging and her wading in the river then walking in the snow. I have tried others that don't stay on but and so happy with these and she doesn't seem to be bothered with them at all. I couldn't be more happy.

Keeps our Samoyed's feet clean & pretty dry (not completely waterproof, though). Easy to put on if your pet cooperates. With long haired dogs like Samoyeds, the fur accumulates in the Velcro and then does not hold very well; happily, you can remove the fur with a fine toothed comb pretty easily. We purchased these due to infection in toenail bed, after 3 mos treating with vet meds and infection kept coming back, and these boots really did the trick! The medicine was able to work and I'm sure keeping her feet dry as we walk 1-2 miles per day was the difference. Love these and will buy again. Our dog didn't like them at first, but got used to them in a couple of days.

My German Shepherd has degenerative myelopathy (DM). Both of his back legs drag and he occasionally walks on the tops of his feet. I've tried about 5 or 6 different booties and different manufacturers. Muttluks Mud Monsters work best for my dog because the rubber sole wraps up and over the top of the shoe. For this reason, they last longer than any other dog bootie I've tried. I use ShoeGoo to replace the rubber that gets scraped away during a walk and the shoes last even longer. I own 4 pairs and rotate them daily.For those buyers who wonder why only 2 shoes are included (instead of 4), I've read that dogs' front feet are a different size from the back feet and selling this way allows for a better fit.
