The book was gorgeous. It was a shame that it arrived slightly damaged.

I'm very new to sailing and started by reading this book. The range and depth of coverage are remarkable, all clearly explained with copious diagrams. An excellent introduction to the subject.

I always enjoy DK books, there books are very well presented. This book really stands out for having a very high degree of useful information clearly presented and easily understood. I would imagine this book lives up to it's goal of being a useful companion from complete novice to seasoned sailor.

Well, perhaps not everything, but pretty close! I keep this book in my sailboat for reference and reading when I'm there to relax or become a better sailor. It has so many pictures and diagrams which are so handy for this subject. Even if you don't have this in a boat, it's great for a coffee table centerpiece.

The pictures are beautiful, the hardcover edition feels high-quality, and the information inside is both inspiring and practical.
