Lenox - 86690LPB72360 LXP Vari-Raker Band Saw Blade, Bimetal, Regular Tooth, Raker Set, Positive Rake, 93" Length, 3/4" Width, 0.035" Thick, 4-6 TPI

I use this on a Harbor Freight 7" x 12" horizontal band saw and it works very well with aluminum or steel. I use coolant and let the saw do its thing. So far it seems like I will get a lot of cutting out of the blade, as long as I don't force it. The blade that came with the saw worked, but after reading online, I decided to upgrade the blade to bimetal and I am glad I did. This cuts smoother than the original blade, which I will keep as a spare.

At our welding shop we use this blade for aluminum and plastic only. It cuts aluminum with ease and lasted us a month and a half before I noticed it cutting a little slower. I would have given it 5 stars if it was still sharp but the price point helped keep it at stars. Usually our blade fatigue at the weld point and break before they dull but this blade has not shown any issues at the weld.

The Lenox LXP is one of the best blades for cutting softer non-ferrous metals. We use this in our manufacturing shop to cut solid aluminum bars up to 8" x 8 ". Select a coarse tooth 3 to 6 TPI and the variable pitch of the blade keeps the cutting quiet. The blade is also very durable and lasts a little over 2 months each, cutting 12-foot bars down to the required lengths (10" to 25") all day.

So much better than what came on my horizontal saw from Harbour Freight. I bought the larger saw for around $800. Now, you will need to remove one of the roller bearing guides because this blade is much ticker than what comes on the saw BUT, it is so much better!Blade does not wander like the thinner blade.Makes it a different saw. I would buy again

Update* Amazon is definitely not the place to order these. 2 out of 3 had problems. The last one I had the wrong blade delivered and the Amazon driver was nice enough to toss an empty water bottle on my front porch with it.The first one I got was perfect and lasted for months. The second one I got had a kink by the weld that caused the blade to bounce while it cut unless I slowed it down. Ordered another one hoping that it's as good as the first one I got.

This could possibly be the best saw blade ever, BUT, The packing is terrible. There is no guard on the blade, and the blade itself is not bound with wire ties or even string...When you open the box be extremely careful because the coiled blade WILL spring. It did for me and i'm just giving a heads up.
