Hands down this is the best anatomical human skull replica I've ever purchased. To be fair, it's the only human skull replica I've ever purchased. It works perfectly for a production of Hamlet that I'm doing with 8th graders.

It looks like they have updated this product since I purchased mine, so maybe it's a true 1:1 now? Mine, which is sitting right next to me and was advertised as a 1:1, is approximately 4.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches tall, which puts it closer to Barbie Halloween décor than an actual adult cranium. For reference, the average human skull is around 6" wide and 8-9" tall. So unless you're replicating the head of a Victorian chimney sweep or a garden gnome, this ain't it. Good detail and pretty decent quality gets it to four stars.

Nice quality but not close to 1 to 1 adult size skull. Perhaps a small child.

I bought this "resin skull" and am EXTREMELY disappointed with cheap, hollow plastic skull that I received in it's place. The images and the description of this item on Amazon show a two piece, amber-ish colored RESIN skull with great detail in the bone structure and has a detachable jaw.Shown in the provided pictures is what I'd received. It is EXACTLY the same as the single piece, hollow plastic, molded skulls being sold in the local Dollar Tree stores, and I'd waited a week to receive THIS.I'm extremely disappointed with this purchase. I decided to buy this item based on the seller's star-rating and the product's written reviews, so I am at least hopeful that this seller didn't write their own reviews under different names, and that maybe somebody actually received the item in the Amazon pictures/description.I WILL be returning this item for a full refund.

Of all the many purchases I made for my 5 grandkids, this was my favorite. She is currently in an Art & Design College, & this was on her list. Good for anatomy studies as well as just plain fun! Didn't pay attention to the dimensions when ordering so thought it would be a little larger, but still a nice size to use & set on a shelf for decor. 💀😏

Definitely not a 1:1 scale skull, unless they're going off a child's skull. The ageing on it looks nice but I was really needing it to be life sized. I know some of the other reviews mentioned this as well, but it seemed that some of them were an accurate size so I took the gamble. Do not buy these if you need anything accurate sized skull.
