The Japanese model (Pioneer-Asia Corporation) comes with a CD player. In fact, it’s a 6-disk stack CD player. But you are correct that the U.S. model (Pionner-North America Corp)

To the rookies who don't know anything about Producing or DJ-ing. Of COURSE it doesn't play CD's
That is not what it is made for! Who the hell leaves a bad review of a dope product to say really unintelligent things? Anyway. It has a digital screen where you pick your song selections via USB. You know USB that thing that you plug into your streaming device or like a laptop. Yeah that thing. They are sometimes blue, sometimes retangerlar and you use them all the time every day most likely. Leaving a 5 star to try to negate the bad stars for people who don't know this at all.

If you still have the need to use CD's, this player is not for you. For those who are complaining, most likely wouldn't be able to afford this masterpiece. Currently, this is the #1 choice around the world and that's why it doesn't play CD's....the people have asked for it.

Some of the critical reviews dont understand that this does NOT play cd's like where would you even put a cd ?

Not a traditional CDJ: Great product, bad name..
This doesn’t play or read CD DVD etc. optical media. Call it an “XDJ” or ANYTHING else. Would you buy a turntable that doesn’t play records?
