Looked like a great product for our Havanese (2 boys!) to escape the sun while they are hanging outside. We ordered 2 different products (other one was from K&H Pet). The Floppy Dawg model took the early lead based on which bed our dogs preferred, but the canopy just didn't hold up, showing tears within a few months. I've tried contacting the manufacturer to inquire about replacement canopies, but got no response (the other product does sell replacements, although its held up perfectly). If you are buying a canopy for your pet, I'd suggest going with the K&H model; the Floppy Dawg product just hasn't held up.

My pup loves this thing and I literally put it together 30 mins ago! Very well made. I would like to see some sort of clipping mechanism which would prevent the canopy from flying off in the wind, but nothing a zip tie couldn’t fix. The canopy wasn’t the easiest to put together but the whole thing took me 5 mins. But seriously....this is perfect! I ordered a medium for my 28 lbs mini goldendoodle and it fits him just fine...but I would maybe suggest going with the large if you want it to be more “roomy.” I trained him to go to his “tent” in about 15 mins with great training. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

My cats love it! Very well made, should last awhile. My feral cat Storm approves! EDIT -- 8/26/18 -- Knocking off two stars after 2 years. Canopy has ripped twice. First time, the company was good enough to send me a replacement they happened to have lying around. Apparently, there are no canopy replacements in stock, and no plans to stock them. The only solution is to buy a whole new bed if the canopy needs replacement.

Floppy Dawg Just Chillin' Elevated Dog Bed is easy to assemble. My dog can spend hours sitting and sleeping on it outside. I bought the bed for my dog so his paws didn't get too hot or cold on the ground. I wish I would have bought an XL size. I have a beagle and the large fits him, but a larger size would have been perfect for when he lays on it. The only con is that I wish the canopy was taller and the openings were larger. My dog likes to watch for critters and bolt off it. The canopy blocks his view and he got "tangled" in the opening trying to get out quickly. I decided to use the bed without the canopy which defeats the purpose of shade. I also wish there was a way to hang it on the wall when not in use. Otherwise, I would recommend the Floppy Dawg Just Chillin' Elevated Dog Bed.

The box arrived in good condition quickly. The pieces were easy to assemble, even with arthritis. Once for together, the cot and top were both sturdy and of enduring material. Because it looked so different, I put one of my two dogs matts up on it with some bones and a toy to encourage her to be comfortable. She was curious and both pups (my other is a dachshund who is more hesitant) explored. Eddie was the first to actually get up and sit, lay down, get her bones,etc. even after I removed her shaggy rug/matt she usually lays on to chew bones. I later put it back on since it is not yet Spring or Summer and the weather is not appropriate to place the cot outside. One or both is definitely using it during it during the day and at night when they can’t lay with us because toys and bones are up and off there and the rug is moved. I think. It’s an awesome quality choice for my dogs. I’m grateful I purchased it and for s good price. They’ll love it this summer in Texas!!

My dog follows me everywhere and it makes me anxious when he is doing it in the heat and than laying on the hot ground. I kept putting off buying this thinking it would be a waste of money and that he wouldn't use it. Well, I was wrong. Where ever it is outside, is where he sleeps. At first, I had to put him in it because he would look in the middle and he must have seen through the net and thought it was a hole he could fall through. Now, he just jumps on the gray perimeter and lays down. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this!! I was going to go with a different brand but I needed it shipped quickly. And boy am I glad I went with this one!! The pups love it and we can’t wait to use it tomorrow for camping.

I went to a friends house for a day and I took my dog to there home. My dog who saw this item and jumped onto it and loved it . I asked them where they had gotten it from and they said amazon. Well as soon I got home I order my dog one . It came in within two day . My dog saw it and he was so happy he got onto it and he loved it . This item keeps him cool in the summer. Because of the air that flows over him and under him belly . If he is happy they am happy . He sleeps on it everyday outside. Great item and very easy to put together . I did it in 6 mins . Buy one your dog will enjoy it .

The media could not be loaded.  Such an amazing product! My dog loves laying on his new canopy bed. I purchased the bigger size because he likes to spread himself out and bring toys on it with him. My dog is 18lbs for anyone trying to decide between the big or small bed. The only thing I will say is the canopy doesn’t protect against rain oddly enough. I wasn’t expecting it to, but just Incase anyone was buying it for rain protection, it doesn’t. The water will pool in the middle of the bed. I think this bed is more suitable for hot days, the beach, picnics or back/front porches. Milo says thanks!

This arrived today and only took a few minutes to assemble (even with a watchful doggy eye on me). It was well packaged and arrived within days of ordering. It DOES come with a black carrying case with shoulder strap which I was pleasantly surprised by! The medium size has a velcro bottom which makes putting it together a little easier. The canopy is really easy to attach which is good since I may remove it to use in the house as a dog bed at times. My dog Finn jumped on it right away to claim it and as you can see he's very comfortable! For reference he's a 12 lbs poodle mix - I was torn between ordering the medium or large size but happy I went with the medium. I can't comment on how it cleans yet as its new but seems like it will be an easy material to wipe off. Also I can't comment on how it will hold up outdoors but plan on keeping it in the shade when not in use. Happy customer so far!

We have a small backyard with a tiny patio. My husband and I each have a zero-gravity lounge - which Harley decided he would take ownership of mine - so we had to get something of his own. Love, love this bed as it is quality and it raises him off the cement patio keeping him away from the cold cement, as well as the ants or other bugs visiting.As we have hydrangeas bushes which can offer shade, but the leaves fall off - I love that it has a canopy giving him shelter from the plants and offering shade, but he can still enjoy the sun.Harley is a long-coat Chihuahua who is about 7 pounds and as you can see gives him lots of room to stretch out.Easy to put together with good instructions. Very happy with this product and highly recommend. Most important, Harley loves it!!! Got to keep our fur babies happy.

I paid $89.99 plus taxes and import fees for a total of $102 CAD for this (shipped from the US) in under a week, although it said it would take two weeks. I wish it was a bit less - i.e. $60.00-$70.00 CAD but it is what it is.Ordered Blue Medium for my 11lb dog and he has more than enough room to lay down. He jumped right onto it after I put it together.The blue on the website is dark, but received a canopy bed that is cool blue, so a few shades lighter.Construction is solid - canopy is like a tent. You can use the bed with or without the canopy. Don’t bother using the instructions to put together - I tried to, but for some reason couldn’t follow them but based on just putting together without following, it took 5 minutes if even.Stitching on the bed is solid. My dog isn’t a chewed so no worrries in that department. This comes with a little carrying bag - like a tent pole bag. Easy to pick up and move around.All in all, materials are sturdy and solid. Great buy.

My pup took to this sunbed right away! I’m glad I sized up to a large for her so she can sprawl out and be comfy. I think if the canopy was any lower shed be scared of it. This will be so great for her on hot sunny days! And there’s room for a puppy pal to share with her. Only gripe would be the instructions were not that easy to follow - but we figured it out! Seems sturdy enough, atvleast for my 7 pound dog. Pleased with this purchase and plan to take this with us on our summer road trips so she can use it wherever we are.
