Not all alive
Two of the six were DOA. These will take some getting used to. The sensitivity (range) and time between when they can trigger vary among the four that work. Neither the minimum nor maximum detection range are a problem, and I certainly don't expect them to trigger any more frequently than the slowest does at about 3 seconds.Since I'm sure very few if any of us who want to use these really want omnidirectional pickup, it'd be nicer if the mounting holes were sized to take screws/standoffs of a standard size so the board could be easily mounted on a reflector. It would also be helpful if the supplier provided more detail, such as designed frequency and production variance so we could better design a reflector than by guessing and relying upon other people's guesses or tests found on the internet.

DOA or barely functional if at all
These are not good. First one didn't work at all, Second one worked for a few minutes and then doesn't trigger. Third one has a range of about 1 foot. Gave up after that. Spend your money elsewhere.

Not sure why they sell in packs of 5
Cant use more than 1 in a small/normal sized house. They interfere with each other. Also, I assumed they were directional. Put a 12inx12in square of aluminum foil behind it, which mostly removed signals from behind. Seems like it is getting signals through 2 walls to the outside where its snowing. Being omnidirectional and way too sensitive drastically limits the idea of having several scattered around the house. I have read about ways to make them less sensitive, but cant be bothered.

Not as shown in the item images: RCWL logo is missing on the RCWL 9196 chip as well as the board
I have not tested the units for functionality yet. However, these boards seem to be clones of the "original" I have. Boards are cut terribly and have a 3v3 regulator on the bottom side. When traced, 3v3 regulator output goes to both VIN and VDD pins. In addition to this, all 6 boards were in a single zip lock bag along with the 6 pin headers nicely rubbing against each other. Fail!
