I should have bought this years ago, within 2 days use, my symptoms are reduced. My use: I brought too many items in a move from a previous mold apartment and spores came with me. And I'm too sick to clean properly! I am hoping this air scrubber will allow me enough wellness to go through my stuff and get rid or what I need to. I called customer service with some dumb questions and they were wonderful 9thanks Cindy!). I'm just trying to figure out how to best use it in a small apartment that I'm inside most of the time. Balancing use of the air scrubber, my air purifiers and opening up the doors and windows. Its super confusing for someone with mold induced brain fog! The machine is pretty darn big and its very loud even on low, saying that, my neighbor still woke me up over the sound! I'm very happy. I will edit if after further use I have more results!

Bigger than I expected but very happy. I do renovations and this has been a blessing. It is big but light weight. One person can carry with one hand. The cord wraps nice and neat on clips. It is adjustable speed, so on small jobs you can run very quietly but on big jobs, it is a beast. It can clean a massive amount of dust like nothing. We would fill a room with dust to the point we would have to stop working because visibility was zero. With this, not a problem. Highly highly recommend. It also is great at freshing the air in a house with pets.

Works well but is loud

I have had this unit for a couple months now and would highly recommend this product. Not only does it give my homeowners a sense of comfort that i am concerned about the air quality in their home it reduces the amount of clean up i have to do after the project. The unit is built very well with quality materials. I have other "air scrubbers" and this brand is much quieter and lighter. The UV-C sterilizer is a bonus when working in damp "mildew" prone basements. I have a few Alorair products and this is another product that has not disappointed.

First thing I did was open this to check the seals (and see if it was used, of course). The rubber feet looked suspiciously dirty but I attributed it to potentially just being cardboard debris. Well, the first gasket seal was not promising, seeing the gap they left (see photo). They really should be using molded seals for expensive products like this instead of cutting them to lengths and laying them in. This one was too short. Anyway, I ran the unit and to my dismay, just as another reviewer wrote, air comes right out of the control panel (opposite side of the exhaust duct)! Not acceptable. I'm trying to use this for home renovations. Most houses built before the 80s has asbestos joint compound in the USA, so I'm not playing around with a faulty design. I don't recommend this air scrubber. Moreover, this was an afterthought after I ordered this -- but consider the rectangular outlet. It makes no sense. Poly layflat is going to be sold as circular cross sections, measurements given in diameter. The video instruction listed on the product page states 12.4" diameter, but the manual online from their website says otherwise (they really should list dimensions). I'm not a fan of the types of seals on the filters as well; overall just a very leaky system.

The UV-C turns on when it is first powered on and runs every few hours for a few minutes to self-clean the inside of the unit after the filters. It is easy to change the filters (it takes a hepa and a normal filter) with four quick release latches on the sides of the unit. The one downside is that the square exhaust port is very hard to clamp an exhaust duct to, and without an exhaust duct this stirs up dust and mold making it harder to work in the area for a good while until the air is fully scrubbed.

Definitely worth the money. I bought these for my company to help keep the dust down on Remodeling and Renovation jobs. I can watch them pull the dust from across the room.

Recently had some granite countertops installed. I had no idea how much of a mess the installers would make removing the old tile countertops. I had already taken precautions by covering everything in my living room and closing off all the other rooms in the house but wow, the amount of dust. I had 2 Levoit, 1 Blueair air purifiers and this 870 going(only on low as it is pretty loud) along with wearing a mask and the house was still inhospitable for me and my wife. After the installers left, I turned this baby on max and it cleared the air in no time. Wasn't totally sure if I made the right decision initially but after that display, I'm positive that I did. It is a loud on max but it's moving a lot of air. Purchased this to use in future projects around the house as some rooms don't have windows for proper ventilation. Look forward to using it more.
