Works well with Samsung QLED TV
Having tried in vain to get my new Samsung TV to connect to my old Denon amplifier, I chose the 192kHz DAC to convert the TVs SPDIF optical output to RCA phono. Plugged it in, switched the TV Sound Output to Optical PCM and it works well, no problems. Now here’s the odd bit: The TVs volume control does not operate the sound level of the optical output nor the amplifier, which is a bit of a snag, BUT when the unit was up and running a Bluetooth option appears on the TV BT List. Selecting this BT ( instead of the Optical output) causes the sound to come through the amplifier AND be controlled by the TV volume control. (Remote) I can only conclude that the Converter has a Bluetooth output. This is not documented nor has anyone else remarked on it. So, now I just select the Bluetooth option and I have remote volume control. Very good value for less than £10 UK. Thus Highly Recommended!!!

Rybozen 192 kHz
I bought a Samsung tv recently for an excellent price and I knew it lacked the ability to connect bluetooth headphones but this little device is top class, £7.99 it comes with optical cable (this is £5 to start with), a normal 5v 3 pin plug adapter (this is around £5 alone). So connect optical cable into samsung tv, plug in to the dac box, plug in 3.5mm aux cable into dac and the other end into my sonru bluetooth 5.2 transmitter (this is a top notch bluetooth transmitter by the way), turn on my bose qc45 and boom! Everything works first time, zero lip sync, no annoying buzzing when on pause,, just silence. The sound quality is superb.IMPORTANT! On your TV in sound settings, set your output to "Optical" and sound to "PCM" Output.Only moan (first world problem) is the red led in the dac is bright enough to be used to help aircraft land! So you might want to put a bit of blue tack over it?

Works great, when you get the settings right
Bought this to connect my Samsung TV to my old surround sound system that only had an RCA input. Connected everything up and was very easy, however only certain apps seem to work and output sound (YouTube & Spotify). Everything else gave really bad static. To remedy this, the sound settings had to be changed to PCM. This fixed the static issue and now everything works through the surround sound system.NB. There is no volume control in this unit, all volume has to be changed through AV receiver

Good company
Impressed with customer service. After few month of usage the product stopped working. I made a complaint and they sent me a new one as a replacemwnt within 3-4 days. They didn't even charge me shipping fee.During mass production particular unit could have manufacturing defect nothing wrong with that but the vendor sorted with immediate replacement. Replacement item is working properly for almost 6 month.Suggestion: Could have used micro usb or usb c instead of normal DC jack for compatibility.

Worked great untill it didn't
Worked as advertised with no issues for about 2 months at which point it stopped output via the aux. Unable to return as too long.Given 3 starts as I probably have just been unlucky. But worked great untill it didn't..

Doesn't work
Bought to replace an old one that stopped functioning, plugged it in the same way and it doesn't work. Different brand arrived and it worked. Piece of rubbish which even if it did work quality is awful. Not a get what you pay for scenario if others work and are good quality.

Low cost basic digital to analogue converter. Needs 5v supply
I wanted a basic digital to analogue converter to convert the optical output from my TV to a stereo unbalanced analogue signal whilst isolating the ground connection to prevent hum loops. The audio quality of this unit is good enough to do the job. I liked the metal case. Things to note: 1. This model comes with a short USB cable and needs a USB type 5v supply which is not included. You can get one with a mains adapter. 2. The optical input automatically has priority over the co-ax input, there is no switch. 3. It doesn't decode all five cinema channels - I set my TV to output in stereo.
