I'm giving this planner 5 stars, and here's the reasons why. First, this planner is a great size for toting around. The cover is actually a hard cover -- both the front and back -- not a flexible thick paper type many other planners have. This is a nice bonus I missed in the description. The spiral binding is nice and means this planner will hold up to my rough handling. I have another planner with a binding like this, so I'm familiar with it. There is plenty of space to keep a brief daily journal, and it has all the other basic features you might expect (full month calendar pages that span 2 pages for each month, etc). It also has easy-to-grab side tabs for each month -- my last planner didn't have this and I had to add them myself. It also has a small pocket on the inside back cover to store index cards or other paper.Now here is where *** I ALMOST RATED THIS A 3 STAR. *** Like others (who actually did deduct stars -- their right), I was going to rate this lower because the front cover is not a shiny metallic gold. Then I snapped some pictures of the planner and now I see for myself that the CAMERA lies, not the seller -- at least not completely! Read on.The description says "golden-decorated cover" and "gilding hardcover" -- these phrases could certainly be misleading, but they don't exactly say "shiny" or "real" gold appearance either... tricky, I know. I can understand taking off a star for this line walking. However, the pictures are true to life. Every picture I took resembled the seller's pictures regarding a gold shine, or lack thereof. Even in my pictures, it's hard to tell the "gold" isn't actually shiny. I cannot blame the seller for this (but do agree the wording should be cleaned up -- just be 100% brutally honest with customers always!).Some adjectives used for the cover: cheap, dull, flat. I'd say matte. But that matte look (which is quite nice as-is) looks great against the things that ARE shiny, including the lovely elastic strap (which IS a very shiny metallic gold), the glossy month tabs, the shiny gold 2021, and metal spiral binding.I am pleased with my planner -- and there are no wacky missing weeks like some other binders -- I checked! I got mine on sale for under $7 and it's worth that price. The hard cover is a real bonus. As for the cover, again, everyone has the right to rate their purchase as they'd like. However, the lack of shiny gold on the cover is a minor issue for me, if an issue at all. TIP: get creative!! Throw some fun stickers on the cover, or even use some metallic washi tape to decorate it.If you want SHINE shine, higher gloss metallic designs, etc, you may not be satisfied with this mostly matte finish. If you simply like the turquoise pattern and are ok with other elements being shiny, this is a great planner and I think it's pretty.

Nice cover. Plenty of room to write notes in margins and bottom of page. And the band to keep planner closed.

This is my second order for this planner. It’s a great usable size and has all the features I need. I had used the My Planner for a couple years and I prefer this one. I can be opened and turned back on itself easily so that I can write on one side or the other. The full month page has an area for listing bills to pay so I don’t overlook any. There are pages for daily notes and they are helpful for additional notes. I have ordered different, but coordinated covers that blend with my decor so if I leave it out on a table it isn’t an eyesore.The stretchy band is handy for marking current months pages and has held up well on both books that I’ve used. Each book has a pocket at the back inside cover to hold loose papers, statements for bills etc. the bottom line is that I love these and would recommend highly. The price is hard to beat for the features.

This is a really nice planner. I got it for my mom, who currently has tons of dr appts and also has lots of stuff she needs to track health wise every day. Each month has a 2 page small squares calendar that she can easily write what dr and time. And each day in the weekly section has ample space to write her weight(being watched for sudden gain due to a heart condition), blood pressure and heart rate, several blood glucose levels(also diabetic), a brief summary of what she ate and when, and even if she has any undesired side effects from her chemo meds... it is so much for a person to keep track of that, and especially someone who's kinda old and in pretty rotten health at the moment. And to top it all off, this this plenty sturdy to write on without another hard surface, a pen clip slides nicely over the spiral binding, AND the elastic closes it securely so she can drag it to every single dr appt at they can look at all her logs!

I can't comment much about the sturdiness/durability of this product since I've only had it for two months so far, but I do like the two ring binding and the thick front and back covers! I also like that the month tabs have a plastic protective over it so that I can easily flip through the planner.As for the paper, I've been happily surprised that there is no bleeding with highlighters and minimal to no bleeding with gel or rollerball pens (I do press hard and use 0.5mm Pilot G2 pens and Uniball Vision pens). Cover is made of some sort of matte material that feels almost velvety, it's hard to explain. As other reviews have stated, the gold on the front cover is nice and shiny!Another nice surprise was the fact that in the folder pocket, there was a sticker sheet! It has stickers to mark down days for doctor appointments, exercise, etc. to random fun things to decorate the planner with like a lollipop and cactus.

This is beautiful, sturdy, the pages are sturdy, I love that it has month at a glance, and week at a glance. All the extras are nice too like quick reference page, address and phone number pages for contacts, pages for notes, time zones page, a pocket in the back cover, and an elastic band that can be used to keep the book closed or to mark your place with any of the pages. The tabs make it easy to flip to the different months. The only thing I don't like is on the week at a glance if the 1st of the month does not land on a Monday it is put in the previous month. They could have just left the days blank until the 1st, but thats not anything that would make me not buy it. Everything is so easy to get to and understand, it is a perfect date book for me and my needs.
