This is tiny! Super cute and I will keep it until bubb is older.

I don't understand why someone would give this toy any less than 5 stars. Unfortunately, some people don't know what REAL toys are anymore. Toys are supposed to evoke imagination and play---not flash and sing to you. Holztiger toys help kids pretend play, which is the most stimulating type of play according to child developmental experts. I have no idea why someone would say that this is too mundane for any child over 5! I love these animals! They are works of art--things that can be treasured throughout childhood and appreciated into adulthood. My 2-year-old has a Holztiger collection and loves his animals! He makes farms, carousels, etc. There are endless things that you can do with these animals. Yes, I agree that some are small, but I believe that Holztiger says that some of its figures are not suitable for children under 3 due to their size. If you question its size, you can easily do an Internet search to make sure that it's big enough for your child. Some of their figures are very large, while some are on the smaller side. Most 3-year-olds don't put things in their mouths anymore, so it really shouldn't be too much of a concern. My 2-year-old is very mature for his age, so I don't worry very much about this. Also, he is never out of my sight, so that is also why I don't worry too much about giving him some toys that are recommended for 3+. Holztiger makes beautiful, inspiring toys. You won't waste your money by buying them. Buying cheap, plastic unstimulating toys that sing and dance and merely entertain your children is what I deem to be a waste!

This is a very cute but very tiny wooden representation of a hedgehog.It is great when sellers post the dimensions of their products so that consumers are fully aware of the exact size of the considered item and are able to make a fully informed decision when it comes to the value of the product for what they are spending and the potential dangers that the end recipient may or may not face, depending upon the person in question.In My Opinion:This particular toy could be very easy to lodge in one's throat. Therefore, it is my opinion that it is too small for kindergarten-aged children, or those that have tendencies to put things in their mouths. It is ultimately up to each consumer to determine if this is the case for their recipient or not as everyone has different concerns to consider, sometimes even outside of age.The size of the item does not necessarily reflect the potential for it to bring joy into the lives of the recipients through the wonders of imagination and play, regardless of age or other considerations. This review solely reflects a desire to highlight relevant information regarding potential safety concerns to the public so that they may make an informed decision.
