Excellent piece of equipment.
I read a lot about the Outlaw 5000 prior to buying on so I had my expectations set properly when I finally purchased one.First one arrived DOA. Look, it happens, especially with electronics. I've read several accounts of the same situation involving gear that cost $6500 and above. So again, it happens, no reason to leave poor feedback or deduct stars.Big Ben at Outlaw was a gentleman and shipped me a replacement right away.Luckily I work out so hauling around the 50 pounds beasts wasn't too bad. When the new unit arrived I made sure it powered up before installing it in my audio stand. It did, so in it went. I've had it in use for three days now and I couldn't be happier. I have this amp running my four JBL floorstanding speakers which I've owned for about 4 years now and I can say with all certainty they have never sounded better. In conjunction with my receiver driving the center and height speakers I am very, very happy with the audible improvement this amp has supplied. The largest improvement was the cleaning up of the low end. Bass is now much fuller while being smooth and nonabrasive. Especially at louder volumes. Yesterday I played Halo for hours at 70db and the amp barely was warm. This amp does in fact run cool like you may have read. Overall this amp is a fantastic piece of audio equipment. Leagues above the Onkyo amps I owned prior while not being that much more costly. Highly recommend.UPDATE 10/19/17The unit is still performing flawlessly, and by flawlessly I mean FLAWLESSLY. I use it everyday, never more than lightly warm to the touch no matter how many hours it's in use. The 5000 drives my L/C/R JBL speakers superbly.Nothing function wise, but it's a nice coincidence the blue LED power indicator matches up with the blue LED on my Onkyo receiver's "pure audio" indicator which just adds a nice little touch like they were meant to work together. Anyways like so many have noted, this amp is marvelous and I highly, highly recommend it.UPDATE 6/16/18Still going strong with zero issues. Since my last update I changed the stock power cord in favor of an Audioquest NRG-4 power cord. What an improvement the NRG-4 made. So much clearer and distinct. I have the 5000 running my Heights, Surrounds and center channel now leaving the receiver to power the mains. I have Audioquest Colombia's in service between receiver and Outlaw. This set up has been the winning formula for me. I would highly recommend giving the NRG-4 power cable an in home audition if you're still using the stock power cord. In the event you don't experience the improvements I did simply return it for a refund. Happy listening my friends!UPDATE 5/25/19What can I say? This amp is nothing but smooth sailing over calm seas. I use the 5000 literally EVERYDAY without any issues what so ever. The only change to be mentioned is I've dropped the height speakers from the equation as after many, many hours of experimentation I found the classic 5.1 set up to yield the best sound field in my living area. Which means the Outlaw 5000 is only running my Center and surround speakers.I am VERY tempted to audition the 976 processor and put all five channels into service, but my Onkyo RZ-800 is fully functional so it's hard to justify the cost when everything is working well and sounding so damn good.I've also looked into other amplifier options ( cause I love to shop ) costing A LOT MORE but from everything I've read from professional reviews and regular audio folks like me, it seems that the Outlaw 5000 cannot be bested for my listening habits and room size no matter how much I want to see glowing gauges moving to the music.Cheers!

Outstanding amp, for such low price
I was surprised, clean, clear sound. Powerful, no hiss, zero. I reccomend this amp, I use it as a center channel amp.

Banging!
After lots of YouTube searches and comparisons, I was drawn to the outlaw audio amp for a couple reasons. Price, 130w per channel continuous power and very positive reviews. Just keep in mind this thing is heavy so make sure you have a entertainment cabinet that can support it along with the weight of your center channel and AVR. My klipsch RP5000f, RP500c and RP51 for my side and rear surrounds don’t need a lot of power and the Denon did just fine but the level of detail that I get from them is night and day difference. I rewatched blade runner 2049 along with mad mad fury road and could hear fine details that I never could hear before. Also clarity so if I am playing at reference level sound. There is little to no distortion that was noticeable before. My 4 atmos speakers are still powered by the AVR but now that they are not driving 7 other speakers I can hear more detail from them as well. If you’re in search for a budget friendly powerful amplifier, I highly recommend outlaw audio!

Sounds Good but the Buzzing is annoying!
The media could not be loaded. Sound is good but the buzzing is super annoying. I mean I don't even need to be close to the speakers to hear it! 😒 I looked at the reviews and pulled the trigger on the perchase. Cost is almost as much as much as the receiver it self. Simple set up and is straightforward. It even came with a 12v trigger. This thing is a heavy weight! Just putting it in the TV stand is a two man job unless you are a weight lifter! Lol With that being said I was super excited about this. I was under the impression that because it was so so heavy and it talked about all this signal noise separating that it was impervious to any type of noise. That the shielding is top notch. But for some reason this isn't the case. I even ponied up for the XLR Cables. Nothing helped with this extreme buzzing sound. So some how I have taken a step backwards from just using the receiver. "SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE BUZZING" Denon AVR-X6700H 11.1 but with a amp connected it is a 13.1. But I don't want to give up quality for quantity. So I am going to return this receiver and opt for the 2 channel Marantz Amp. I just thought it would be better if I had the amp run all my floor speakers and the receiver run all my upper Atmos Speakers. But now all my floor speakers hum badly. I hate to take this thing apart and start over. But unfortunately I have to because I'm not happy with this product.Update! So I did some research and troubleshooting. Turns out the 12v Trigger wire puts off a lot of interference. And you have to put a wire on the grounding terminal to minimize the noise. While not all together gone. It is day and night better. And I think I can get it to improve further if I get a higher quality 12v Trigger wire. Hope this helps someone else. So I'm going to keep it now. 💯

It's a work horse used daily for over a year now.
Had over a year now. Use it to bi-amp my front towers and run my center channel. I have a cooler on top of it. Rarely see it get to 90f running it pretty hard. 90 is where I have it set for the fans to even come on. Great bang for the buck.

Great workmanship and a terrific value for the guy the working hard people
Runs silent with no noise from the amp or the signal coming out of it. Weighs around 60 lbs. High grade connections with the choice of RCA input from the source or the three pin input. The pin input is supposed to give a cleaner signal then the RCA plug but I couldn't hear a difference in sound quality. Volume seems a little lower when using the RCA jacks. Runs cool and is simplistic and functional in design. Seems like Outlaw focused on the business end over unnecessary bling. A single blue light on the face indicates it is on. Comes with a trigger for power options. Very happy with this hardware. Made in China unfortunately but Outlaw seems to be on top of the build quality and the more then capable amplifier design.
