I bought this item to protect a design I made for a door mat. So far so good!

Includes a UV blocker and keeps redwood looking good for years. I use it every 3-4 months.

I used this finish on two porch tables made by a friend of mine. They were both Poplar wood, and one a yr ago, the other a couple mos ago. The first one showed some darkening of the wood which I liked and wanted, the second one is still sort of a blonde wood, but I only used one coat of finish on it. I may apply another coat in the fall just to get through the winter? I don't think it really needs it. Both table bases are antique iron, so I wanted a satin finish so as to harmonize with the aged look.
