Best towels yet
Best towels yet. First, I've never used Lilian Vernon and I know a lot of the lower rating reviews are using those as a basis for comparison and low star ratings. My review is solely on these towels and not how they compare to a different towel. We've been using guest towels in our powder room well over 10 years, so we do have a lot of experience with other brands of towels. Here's what I like about these towels:- Thick and strong- BIG- Very absorbent- They do not fall apart and shred when used vigorously- Gotta love the price!!- No pattern or print - very clean and elegant, goes with any décor- They arrived in two days- They fit PERFECTLY in my towel holder tray. Maybe I have a smaller tray, I don't have any spare room in the tray. These are the best hand towels I have used to date. I will definitely continue to purchases these and these only moving forward. Very glad to have found them here on Amazon.

I decided to take a chance on these...
And I'm happy I did!! I almost decided not to bother because of the varied comments about the quality of the product. These are very nice and they fit nicely in the towel tray I've had for many years. They are very strong and do not feel like paper. I've ordered fingertip guest towels for several years from Lillian Vernon and other catalog/online merchants and have paid much more for far less quality. I now have small grandchildren who come to visit often and had resorted to putting a roll of paper towels on the vanity, but didn't care for the look. These are just great and if I sound surprised, that's because I am. I'll be buying again and again as long as the quality remains the same. Be careful if purchasing the larger amounts of 300 and 500. I know pricing changes, and I feel that it's pretty obvious at this time that buying the larger quantities are certainly no value and actually the 500 count is robbery at the present time, so be careful.

Great quality, fantastic price, very absorbent
These were the exact napkins I was looking for! Bed, Bath and Beyond stopped carrying this style and I was so relieved to find them on Amazon. They are high quality, disposable hand towels that we keep in our guest bathroom as an alternative option to hand towels for our guests. Many guests complement on how heavy-weight they are and some even say they feel guilty about throwing them away. I agree that they are a bit more narrow than the standard decorative napkins you will normally buy, but I have a proper tray to accommodate them. I don't think they feel like linen, but they are wonderful and it only takes one napkin to dry my hands opposed to two or three of the cheaper, less absorbent options. Another thing to note - they don't have a design on them, but that's a good thing for me, because I've had dye transfer onto my hands from decorative napkins in the past. I hope Amazon continues to carry these - they are fantastic and the price can't be beat.

I LOVE THESE TOWELS
I LOVE THESE TOWELS!! I don't like to use cloth towels in the powder room that my guests use because I don't think it is very sanitary. But these type of towels can get pretty expensive when I have a lot of guests. I had been using another brand of paper towels that were soft, but not that absorbent. After reading the reviews I decided to try these. After the first use, the towel was till so dry that I used it to wipe up the counter and sink and it still could have absorbed more!! So I tried cutting them in half to reduce the waste and found they still dry my hands completely. Great product and by cutting them in half they are budget friendly.

Okay, but NOT better than Lillian Vernon if using a holder
I've used the Lillian Vernon guest towels for years now and really like them, albeit the designs can be tacky depending on the year. Based on one of the reviews here, I went with these guest towels because, as the reviewer stated, it IS a better deal, and I like the lack of design. These Simulinen towels are of good quality. They feel nice, and they work well. However, I didn't realize how narrow the towels were going to be in comparison to all other disposable guest towels I've ever used (including Lenox buffet napkins). These Simulinen towels look a bit ridiculous in the holder I've been using all these years. Apparently those few millimeters make a big difference in presentation. Also, they were packed in a way that wrinkled and squished the corners, making for a messy presentation for guests. I recently repurchased some Lillian Vernon towels on sale, plus a discount code, and they ended up only a few dollars more than these, which I now consider well worth it for guest towels that don't get used all that often except during parties and the occasional guest. If you use disposable guest towels on a daily basis, and if you don't mind a rather large gap between towel and edge of holder, then you'll probably really like the Simulinen towels.

Nice guest towels and folded small
The small fold was a plus for me. (I have a smaller towel holder for a small guest bathroom.) They are soft, strong and a nice bright white. They're just big enough without being wasteful. Only negative was that the package they came in busted in the box and about 20 or so were bent from other items in the box. I don't know if that was a failure of the packaging or the packager but I could not use them for guests because they were crushed and bent. But that aside, the towels are really nice for the price.

For my husband's 40th birthday we threw a party and catered a fantastic "whole hog" barbecue with greens & white sauce from a talented chef friend. You might not think bbq is classy, but my husband wanted a fancy affair, so we rented china & flatware for the event. I was planning to rent napkins, but thought they'd be quite messy with the barbecue. So glad I found these on Amazon! They are thick, luxurious, & cloth-like. The perfect substitute for real cloth napkins. These would be ideal for any outdoor gathering with messy food! I think they are certainly fancy enough for a casual outdoor wedding. (Think rustic, mason jar type wedding.)
