Easy to read and follow along.
I am a martial artist and I have been to several of Master Yang’s clinics as well as had Master Yang do a clinic in my school.I have several books written by Master Yang and they are very precise. A couple of them are signed copies.I would like to know when ever he comes to Georgia or Florida! I’ll be there!

Great Beginners for Taijiquan martial Artist.
I am still a beginner in Taijiquan and currently learning the traditional Yang style long Taiji form by Dr. Yang Jwing Ming from his Tai Chi for Beginners DVD. I have found the instructions on the DVD very clear and I believe that with the these clear instructions I can learn this form effectively. Buy the accompanying book if you can so you can understand the form in depth.I recommend however that you finish the long form first before starting on this DVD as a background in the long form and Qigong will help in understanding the sword and subsequent weapon forms of Taijiquan. One more thing. It believe that it is best to have guidance to understand the sword form in so after you have learned the form to the best of your ability I would recommend you take regular seminars or visit a master to correct your form so you can understand the art correctly. Dr. Yang conducts seminars on yearly basis in his retreat center in California. Thats will be a great chance to refine your form. Also look for other seminars offered by YMAAAs with any other martial art form, mastering it will require years of regular practice and feedback.

I am loving this!
I love all the great information on this DVD, things about why the sword is used a certain way, or why you put your hand in a certain position. I am looking forward to being able to perform this sword form eventually!!

Great DVD
Good DVD, easy to follow for Tai Chi practitioners! Would be a little hard for beginners to follow without previous Tai Chi training.I love the practical application part describing why the movements are used, (ie: blocks and strikes), much easier to understand. The rear view of the form being performed was also very helpful since following an opposite mirror image is difficult. The rear is like standing behind a master and following alone. Good teaching!!!

Where does it begin.... Master instructors.
I have just received it and when I showed it to my Tai Chi Instructor, he told me that he has some type of relation with Dr. Yang his instructor was taught by another instructor who was taught by Dr. Yang or somewhat on that level. I briefly watched the video and Dr. Yang is correct that the sword is the highest level of learning and most difficult. To start with sword watch this DVD.
