In my later years, I have noticed that I am finding it harder to go on long walks/hikes without suffering from blisters, regardless of shoes I wear or socks (at least among the numerous pairs I already owned). On a whim, I looked to see if there were such a thing as anti-blister socks and lo-and-behold! There WAS. But which pairs to buy? Luckily many others had already done the research for me, all I needed to do was read enough reviews from real world users that helped my decision aim towards the TANSTC Mens Socks. What did it for me was a review by an older person who had diabetes and needed something to help them do their daily walks of 4-5 miles. First off, kudos to them for walking so far, and second, they truly helped tip the scales for me and decide to buy these. I've been happy ever since. I've been able to walk blister free for over a week now and, although they may not remove the pain of walking long distances in my feet and my hips, those blasted blisters haven't come back, even a little bit. I consider that a win-win. Now, with that being said the photos make these look like they ride higher up my ankle than they actually do. In truth, they are just a shade above being those anklet socks that you cannot really see with shoes on. And I might add...I HATE those socks. But in all honesty, these have managed to stay put and not slip beneath my heels, which has been my issue with those lower, no-show socks that seem to be popular these days. I really, REALLY dislike those. These aren't THAT low...and the heel portion being thicker and having a bit of a lip helps immensely. They are comfortable and fit great for me. In short, I love my socks. I haven't been able to say that for a mighty long time regarding socks...if ever. I'll definitely be ordering more in the future.

They run small, or are described incorrectly. I am size 11 men's shoe. Bought the L size (9-12). When stretched really tight, they still hit below my ankle bone. These are called "ankle", but are more like "low-cut", and even could be called "no-show" except for the heel tab that hits right on the top of my shoe. Strangely, the package says "do not bleach or tumble dry". Who hangs up socks? They are 80% cotton, 17% nylon, 3% spandex, not 95/5. This didn't matter to me. I figure they'll shrink as much as any other cotton socks do. I returned them and am trying the XL. They were actually pretty comfy, supportive and soft.

Ich habe mir diese Socken nun zum zweiten Mal bestellt, da diese sehr angenehm zu tragen sind. Auch die Größe und Passform passt sehr gut. Die Socken, die ich bereits vor über einem Jahr gekauft hatte, sind immer noch in sehr gutem Zustand. Keine Löcher, nicht ausgeleiert oder ähnliches, somit ist auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut.

Nos han llegado estos 10 pares de calcetines deportivos y en principio me dan buena impresión. Llegan en una bolsa con cierre tipo zip, con el logo de la marca . Son suaves y agradables al tacto, con una buena confección, sin costuras y la liguilla del tobillo elástica pero sin apretar nada y un simbolo de dolar dibujado en la parte posterior de la liguilla (quizás lo que menos me gusta del calcetin, bueno digamos que es lo único que no me gusta) Tienen 80% de algodón, 17% de nylon y 3% de spandex. El nylon y Lycra® Spandex ayudan a los calcetines para que conserven su forma, crean un ajuste perfecto. El problema con los calcetines 100% de algodón es que absorben el sudor, se saturan rápidamente de humedad y se secan lentamente, lo cual es una receta perfecta para las ampollas. por lo tanto estos calcetines llevan la composición perfecta para que esto no pase, y podamos tener los pies secos. Lavan bien y secan rápido, aunque de momento no puedo hablar de la durabilidad de ellos con el paso de los lavados. Totalmente cómodos, y de momento recomendables.
