Flash Gordon (40th Anniversary Edition) [DVD] [2020]

Not the greatest film in the world, but a entertaining one with a great sound track by Queen.

GORDON'S ALIVE!So you may have known that, does he stay alive the whole film?It's a tough one because Flash Gordon 2 does not exist.Do not get this mixed up with the VHS I saw in my video shop in the 80's "Flesh Gordon".Enjoy!

Love this movie. Have it on digital but physical copies are always superior.

This has to be one of my favourite films of all time from the good-old 1980s! :) This film has an excellent storyline and visuals, great costumes, a great score / music by Queen and the iconic Ming the Merciless, played by the late Max von Sydow. This 40th Anniversary Edition DVD certainly does not disappoint and is a real collectors item I feel. A great DVD at a really great price. Thank-you. :)

Enjoyed watching this film again which I saw on its initial release back in 1980. Not to be taken too seriously and enjoyed for what it is a good tongue in cheek adventure which can be enjoyed by the whole family. extras include a commentary from Brian Blessed and one from director Mike Hodges. Some critics thought Sam Jones was a bit wooden in the title role but personally I thought he was ok and supported by a good cast including Melody Anderson, Max Von Sydow, Ornelia Muti, Brian Blessed, Timothy Dalton, and Peter Wyngarde. Enjoy it for what it is, good escapist fun. Graet sound track from Quuen as well.

There are only congratulations to the team responsible to make this edition a reality. Perfect as perfect may be.

I must've missed the region on this disc set. Neither will play on my PS4. VERY disappointed. Buyer beware, I suppose, but, seriously, why make this available to U.S. consumers?
