Not exactly "Painless"
So really glad I found this kit because it was exactly what I needed for a truck that had this harness destroyed/eaten by a rodent and I had no idea what was missing. I ordered this to try to get the truck running only to find out after replacing other parts TWICE that the one distributor connector at the ICM, beautifully spliced and great quality with electrode grease btw, was incorrectly wired (key for plug was 180* off). Took much trial and error, cheap ICM skepticism, reviewing wiring diagrams to realize this was the case. Luckily can force it in 180 off and get it to work, but I will have to cut all splices and rewire there to make it right. Might have just been a manufacturing error, but pretty annoying. Also, the wires for batt + and ignition on ICM plug we're about 3 feet too short for my particular setup without relocating ICM from factory location. Kit does comes with low quality connectors for resistor, strongly encourage you use/buy your own with quality shrink tube rather than hard plastic protectors. Wish it had a good mounting bolt for the resistor as well, but another run to Lowes. All in all was exactly what I needed.

Quality plugs and connectors!
This is brand new and less expensive than the local junkyard. Ford’s oval plugs are hard to find. Great fix for my 40 year old truck!

It'll work but not as intended
I recently purchased a 1975 F100 with a 302. The truck came factory with Electronic Duraspark II ignition. The truck went through a small carb fire prior to when I purchased it and the ignition wiring harness was burned beyond usability. I purchased this wiring harness thinking it would be a direct swap however this harness assumes that you are CONVERTING from a points system to electronic ignition. iF YOU ARE REPLACING YOUR EXISTING ELECTRONIC IGNITION WIRING THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU WITHOUT MODIFICATION. After some time with a test light and a couple male spade connectors the truck is running driving.

Has all that's needed
This is a generic wiring harness, so customization will be needed, but all the connectors are the correct ones and they fit. In my case (retrofit into a chassis that pre-dates duraspark), wires had to be shortened, and I added a couple of weather-proof blade connections in order to make it easy to disconnect everything without cutting wires should that ever be necessary in order to execute repairs. I especially appreciated the color-coded, idiot-proof wiring diagram that comes with the harness.

Install took about an hour and the only thing this amazing kit doesn't include is a bolt for the resister ...
30812 works for BLUE grommet Duraspark II control modules (see Painless's website for full listing if you run a different color grommet).Install took about an hour and the only thing this amazing kit doesn't include is a bolt for the resister (which you may not even need). Wires are clearly marked, connectors are very high quality, Coil horseshoe clamp is good (required filing down the coil terminals just a bit), and cannon plugs are strong and solid.This kit was absolutely PAINLESS to install (pun intended), very, very, very happy with this product!!!
