Essential Guide for Building a Strong Foundation
I picked up "101 Questions to Ask Before You Get Engaged" with the hope of deepening my relationship and preparing for marriage—and it delivered beyond my expectations! This book is an incredible resource for couples who want to ensure they’re on the same page before taking the next big step. The questions cover everything from personal values, finances, and family dynamics to communication, intimacy, and future goals. What I loved most is how the book encourages honest, open discussions. My partner and I discovered things we hadn't thought to talk about, even after being together for years. It helped us address potential challenges in a proactive and thoughtful way.The variety of questions is impressive—some are light and fun, while others delve into the deeper aspects of commitment. It’s not just about finding out if you're compatible but also about learning how to communicate effectively and build a strong foundation together. This guide is perfect for anyone considering engagement, whether you’ve been together for a short time or a long time. It will open up meaningful conversations and help you both understand each other on a deeper level. I highly recommend it to any couple looking to strengthen their bond before taking the next step!

An AMAZING book for GETTING TO KNOW who you are dating/courting!
[Note: Those who are complaining about this book being religious are probably wasting their time in the marriage direction anyway since marriage itself was instituted by GOD! That's like complaining that lemons are yellow or oranges are orange. Of course, any conversation about marriage is going to be religious & spiritual! ANYWAY...]This book has been useful in helping my friend and I to ask meaningful questions and have deep discussions that we might never have thought to have. This book is very fitting for new relationships, and it is wise to use additional resources - which is why I purchased '1001 Questions...', 'Smart Listening...', and other resources. Take what you need, throw out the rest. We are buying TWO books so I can fill out my book and he can fill out his book and then we will exchange them. I've flipped through the book and used about 5 questions so far. It's been a blast! This had helpes us connect even more along with our shared religious services/bible studies, common interests, shared life experiences, and there's so much more to come!Note: This is not supposed to be a one and done fix-all folks! You should still do pre-courtship and pre-marital counseling.

So helpful when discussing important topics!
My fiancé and I absolutely loved using this book while preparing for engagement! It was one of my favorite parts of our dates. We would do 5 questions at a time and it always created great conversations.

Certainly takes your relationship to the next level!
My boyfriend and I got this book to help us get to know each other a little better, and it certainly did! However, I would warn Christian couples who are each other's first loves about a couple of things. My boyfriend and I have a very unconventional relationship by modern standards and have really taken things more like they did back in the days of the pioneers, so there were a few questions in here(very much geared towards modern unmarried couples) that made us very uncomfortable and which we considered inappropriate questions until after marriage. Overall, though, it was a lot of help in taking our relationship to the next level and helping us to know each other just a little better before we take the next step and commit to each other for the rest of our lives! It also has several questions designed to help you spot red flags in each other, and how to work through those things, if they're something you're willing to work through. It really is a well thought out book, and I loved that there were scriptures written into several of the explanations!

Worth it
"101 Questions to Ask Before You Get Engaged"is a book that evokes a mix of love and hate for its readers. On one hand, it earns admiration for its ability to confront the tough questions many couples shy away from. By pushing readers to delve into uncomfortable topics, it encourages them to confront fears and uncertainties head-on, ultimately fostering a deeper understanding of their partners. However, the book also sparks frustration and tension due to the intense debates it provokes. Some questions lead to lengthy discussions that can span days, testing the patience and understanding of both partners. Yet, amidst the heated debates, it reinforces the importance of sacrifice and compromise in a relationship. In essence, "101 Questions to Ask Before You Get Engaged" is a valuable addition to any book collection and relationship. Despite the challenges it presents, its ability to facilitate meaningful conversations and deepen understanding between partners ultimately outweighs any initial frustrations.

Great, But Not super useful - read to see why/why not.
This book came highly recommended by Patrick Bet David. After buying two (one for my wife and one for myself) to fill out and compare, we quickly learned that all questions have already been answered in conversation.IF you have healthy communication and discuss all the easy, the hard and the important topics as you get to know your special someone, this book should not be answering any new questions. That being said, it can be useful to see if there is anything you may have overlooked and potentially can be a good tool to get answers to questions you may be afraid to ask but should.
