I left these in the packet for 3 months and then planted 2 weeks ago. Now I have 12 seedlings gracing me with appearance and they are all looking so cute. Kept in a closed seed tray opening once a day to mist the soil.

(Written by Brenda's husband who has dabbled with cacti since he was about 9) I have grown cacti from seed at odd intervals with various success for many years. Some of these earlier attempts going back some 20+ years are quite large now. This batch of seeds were sown on receipt in early May. Within a few days 7 of the 25 seeds had germinated and are now making good progress. In the weeks that followed another 5 have showed themselves making a grand total of 12 (about 50% of the seeds). There is still plenty of time for other stragglers to come to life and I will try and update this review in about a year to report what made it and more importantly, what survived!

I bought these for my very patient 9yr old son who decided cacti was his thing. We bought cacti compost, a propagator and a heat mat. He decided to start with 4 seeds, and 1 month later we have the first of 4 germinating. Patience is the key, snd ensure you keep condensation/ humidity in the environment. The propagator works well, and from all I have read and watched it can take 6 months before thry are ready to acclimatise to room temperature, so you definitely need patience, but I'm really happy. The heat mat helps, and I suspect we will see the others over the coming weeks. I'm giving 4 stars as I'm delighted to have success. If all germinate I will upgrade to 5 stars.

Not enough seeds gerninate... but patience is key.

I popped these cactus seeds into 3 separate pots on top of the approved compost.Placed them inside a small propagator. I just keep misting the soil ever day.A month after sowing, 17 of them (out of 25 seeds) are healthy little cacti. About 5mm high.Fascinating!

Utter garbage, the seeds were all crushed from the packaging non of the ones i planted grew, i orderd some from other sellers and got great results with the same method
