Q: Does it come on when the room temp is one degree below set temp? And shut off when room temp is one degree above set temp?

Doesn't look like it - I haven't nailed it down yet, but it seems like there's a 5-ish degree threshold on my unit.

the manual one has 3 heat setting, it is 600W, 900W and 1500W. different power. The digital one in ECO model, the setting is based on room tempeture, but the manal one, you need to adjust it.
