Shines great. Good light for price.

The Goodsman 12 volt spotlight came well packaged and worked just as advertised. I plugged it into a power bank with a 12 volt receptacle and it lit right up. In a dark room it seemed as bright as if a 100 watt bulb were turned on, which matches the 100 watt Halogen bulb the spotlight has. Outdoors the beam easily focused a tight beam at about 140 feet. Extrapolating from this I would say the beam would stay focused for perhaps 350-550 feet before losing cohesion and spreading out. Useful light does look to match the ~ 1400 foot range advertised, as from what I saw things could be usefully illuminated to this level in a dark place such as the countryside or out on a lake. In a city, with lighting all around, the beam would be washed out at perhaps 500-600 feet. It's not for rainy weather, as water would get in the vents and the hot lens would get warped by water falling on it and steaming off. Overall I'm happy with the spotlight. It's easy to hold, not too heavy, puts out a good long range beam and general illumination even further, and seems well made. So good value for the money!

This light is super bright! I bought the marine version because it was brighter and cheaper. The only reason for 4 stars is the on/off switch could be more user friendly. You pretty much need your second hand to turn it off due to it being a sliding switch instead of the more standard flip button. I’ve had many spotlights in the past and this one is top for brightness, I just wish the switch was better.

Great light!! This will light up pretty much what you need out on the water or for that matter anywhere. Nice long cord and a solid built product. I would buy this again for sure.

Works well for our boat at night when we need to see what's ahead

Worked for a few minutes on first use then stopped working. We were on the creek in the dark so I began to troubleshoot. Guts to the light were junk. Could not repair. Threw it in the trash.

Very bright

It was definitely bright enough with the halogen bulb, yet, I was worried how the halogen bulb gets hot and also power draw on my 12v system in my boat. I ordered LED H3 bright white replacement bulbs and installed them. Voila! An led spotlight about 3x brighter and 10x whiter.
