HimaProFoot Control Pedal and Power Cord for Domestic and Imported Sewing Machines - Variable Speed Control (4C-333BL)

This foot control makes 85 YO sewing machine (Singer 221 Featherweight) a real pleasure to use! Replacing the original rheostat control in bakelite box is a no brainer. Instead of push button next to a static button, we have a full paddle meaning more foot comfort. Instead of century-old rheostat technology, we have a bit of modern electronics that does not waste power and get hot. Instead of a rheostat that only knew "on" or "off" we have full speed control for precision stitching at slower speed when desired. Just plug it in and enjoy!

I ordered three other brands of foot control and power cords before the HimaPro. They all, despite the description saying they worked for the Singer Heavy Duty 4423 Model sewing machine, fit the machine but fell right back out of the machine.The HimaPro plug fit snuggly and powered the Singer Heavy Duty 4423 machine flawlessly.

This sewing machine foot works great for my Singer. Shipping was quick and everything was in perfect shape.

The original old foot switches have a small hole in the bottom where you can adjust the OVERALL speed range of the machine by tweaking a little variable resistor. When you step on the foot switch, it lets you go from the bottom (slow) to the top (fast) of this range, but you need to be able to adjust what that range is. In our case, we wanted that range to let us go from really slow to moderately fast, not pretty fast to really fast. By adjusting the little variable resistor through that little hole, you can achieve really good control at slower speeds. This Amazon foot switch does not have that range adjustment, and you go from zero to maximum speed without much fine control. We sent it back. There might be an adjustment inside for adjusting the range, but it's difficult to take these apart without breaking them since they are made to put together easily at the factory, not to be serviced easily. Not right for what we needed.

I own an antique Singer 101-4 which is my favorite sewing machine. During a recently move my peddle went missing and just never resurfaced. I picked this up as a replacement.While it doesn't look as nice (or rachet depending on how much you like old things) as the original, it functions exactly the same. I added some non-slip grip to the bottom to keep it from sliding on the floor while in use.Every time I need a replacement part of my machine I am just SO happy there are placed they still make and provide the parts I need to keep my nearly century old sewing machine going for years to come.

I am so happy I can use my sewing machine again! My dog had chewed up the cord to the pedal and it didn’t want to work very well, it would stall on me. I’m so happy this works!For reference I have a Singer Fashionmate 7256.

Works like it says and seems to be about the same quality as the factory single speed one is. BUT, the big thing is it works on the 4452 machines. Which it doesn't list.

I replaced the original metal foot pedal that had begun arking and getting hot. This electronic pedal works well and also gives more variable speed control. The old one was either slow or fast! Plan on ordering 2 more as I have 3 sergers.
