I'm really pleased with this roof rack for my Wrangler JL. It fits perfectly and was incredibly easy to install. I was able to set it up in no time at all, without needing any special tools or help. The instructions were clear and straightforward, which made the process hassle-free. Once installed, it feels sturdy and secure, which gives me confidence when carrying gear on top. I was looking for a set of cross bars to go with my Yakima rooftop cargo carrier. I was skeptical about the drip edge mounting set up and weight rating.I was very impressed with the overall quality out of the box. The set up and installation took about 20 minutes. I made a few test runs with the cargo box mounted and was impressed with how quiet it rode. The rails held well and I gained confidence for my trip.3400 miles later I was thrilled with how well they held the cargo box. We ran into significant wind during our travels and everything held beautifully.Upon my return I made a mistake with removal and damaged a part. I contacted Hooke Road and they were amazing to work with. They really stood by their product even though I explained how I was the problem…. That level of service will bring me back to their product line again.

This was very easy to install and worked perfectly to transport a kayak. However, to mount it there are screws you need a hex key. As I was tightening them, the bolt heads were very soft and are starting to deform. I'm not sure I'll get very many uses considering this will be on and off the jeep a lot. Not much faith in the mounting hardware but the rack is nice.

This is actually my second set, and I love them. Second set not due to product problems but more user error.I got these for our kayaks racks and kayaks. Between out first set and this second set, we have been using them for 4 years. Most seasons they end up staying on through the whole season with thr kayak racks attached. One year they were on all year with the racks attached.They are easy to place on and take off after assembled. We leave our kayak racks on them because it is the easiest way for us, as that is all we use them for. Our kayaks are 12 ft long. We have had them on and been in some pretty bad wind, and the rails stood up to all of it. When we broke the 1st set I was unable to find them again here and was rather upset since they are amazing. Eventually they came back and we ordered them.Please note that when the box comes it is long and awkward. It you live in apartments or have to carry it stairs, please note that fact. Otherwise overall we would definitely recommend these to anyone with a Hardtop.

Fit perfectly! And easy to install, fittings and hardware stays tight. Actually use ours flat for two kayaks with less wind noise than as in the picture.

This rack is great if you don't want to take the freedom panels off. It was easy to install, very sturdy, and I love it. Unfortunately, I want to remove the panels so I needed to order a new rack. :-( Both racks can not be put on the back half. The front rack is too small to fit on the back :-(This is great for the price. update, I tried to use it and kept going back to not being able to remove front panels. It was extremely easy to remove and rebox to return. Sad this didn't work but great product.

These are super easy to install and look great on my Jk. They feel very sturdy and I can’t wait to put them to the test. I will be going on a long road trip from north east Texas to southern California and plan to use these to secure my rooftop cargo carrier. I will update after my trip. So far so good though.

I really like a lot about this rack (easy to install/ remove, lightweight, smooth profile/design), but it isn’t rigid enough and could use more vertical clearance to make it easy for install of my cargo carrier (haul ski/snowboard) as once I’m eventually able to get it installed, it then will annoyingly bounce on the roof at certain speeds with the aerodynamic wind effects so that I have to try and put foam pads under the mounting points (is difficult to fit). More rigidity in the crossbars and a slightly taller profile with the mounts would solve my issues.
