It works - and very well too.
Well, it works! From a 2or3 out of 5 bars signal on my phone outside this little beauty improved reception to a solid 5 on my 5G router & it delivers a rock-steady high download speed so I’m a very happy chappy. This arrives tightly packed into its box & comes with almost exactly five metres of pre-terminated dual cable as well as hammer-in wall screws & plugs, some clear suction mounts and a jubilee clip for pole mounting plus the instructions. The mounting bracket is plastic but it certainly seems sturdy enough for the job & it was easy enough to mount on the wall where I wanted it. If you need to thread the cable through a wall I would suggest at least a 24mm drill bit because of the connectors on the end of the cable, and if you need cable clips externally the standard twin satellite cable type of clips seem to be a perfect fit.I can see no reason why this shouldn’t carry on doing a good job for a good few years to come but if anything changes I will update this review. So far though I rate this very highly.

The Perfect Boost for Your Broadband Signal
I recently purchased the Poynting XPOL-1 V2 5G Omni-Directional Antenna to enhance my broadband signal at home, and I must say I am truly impressed with its performance. This antenna has proven to be a game-changer, significantly improving my connectivity and overall internet experience.Installation of the XPOL-1 V2 antenna was a breeze. With clear and concise instructions, it only took a few minutes to have it up and running. The sturdy design ensured a secure fit, and the included mounting brackets made it easy to position the antenna for optimal coverage. Even for someone like me with limited technical know-how, the whole process was straightforward and hassle-free.Once installed, the XPOL-1 V2 antenna showcased its true potential. The 3dBi gain and 2x2 MIMO technology provided a substantial boost to my broadband signal - particularly in areas where the reception was weaker. This amplified signal strength resulted in faster download and upload speeds, reduced latency, and improved overall stability. Streaming high-definition content, online gaming, and video conferencing have become seamless experiences without any annoying lag or buffering issues. One notable feature of the XPOL-1 V2 antenna is its cross-polarized capability. This design allows for simultaneous reception and transmission on horizontal and vertical polarizations, resulting in diverse signal capture and improved performance. I've noticed a significant reduction in interference and improved signal consistency, ensuring a more reliable connection even during peak usage hours.Furthermore, the antenna's 5G compatibility adds to its future-proofing capabilities. As technology continues to advance, the XPOL-1 V2 antenna is ready to support the next generation of wireless connectivity, ensuring long-term suitability and value for money. In summary, the Poynting XPOL-1 V2 5G 3dBi Omni-Directional Cross Polarised LTE 2x2 MIMO Outdoor Antenna has exceeded my expectations. Its ease of installation, impressive signal enhancement, and compatibility with current and future technologies have made it an excellent investment for improving broadband connectivity. If you're looking to amplify your internet experience, this antenna is undoubtedly worth considering.

Worked well with my ZTE MF286D
This comes with a decent amount of cable. Note the connectors are moulded on, so if you plan to pass the cable through a wall the hole will need to be big enough.Easy to fit, raised my signal strength from three to five bars and data speed increased to 20Mbts.

****UPDATE: IT THEN FAILED AFTER ONLY 14 MONTHS****
REVIEW DOWNGRADED TO ONE STAR OCTOBER 2024:---------------------------------------------------------------Started getting very slow speeds October 2024. Less than 1 Mbps. At first I thought the 4G signal was being degraded by the network due to the 4G calling changeover. Then perhaps network throttling. So I removed the external antenna leads from the TP=Link Mobile Router and put the rabbits' ears antennae back on. Immediate improvement to 5Mbps!!So clearly the Poynting antenna has failed after just 14 months. The signal had slowly been degrading over the last few months anyway. I'll take the thing apart and check it if I can be bothered to risk my neck taking it down.CONCLUSION: Waste of money. Better to concentrate on finding the network operator with the local best signal that wasting time and money on on these overpriced pieces of plastic and cable which clearly are not fit for purpose.ORIGINAL REVIEW:----------------------In this rural Wiltshire village all the mobile providers have poor signals.4G data reception is very dynamic. So with a Huawei B525 router on its internal aerial, reception was typically 4-8 Mbps, although dropping to 2 Mbps with contention when the local kids are streaming rubbish.Using this aerial, download speed is 16-19 Mbps at this very moment. It has been up to 41 Mbps Rarely drops below 14. So a great improvement.BUT: I put it on a 10 foot pole on a proper bracket on the gable end so it is 4ft above the ridge. Nearest mast 3.5 km distant. I tested it using the suckers on a window, that yielded results similar to the internal router aerial. So for the best result you have to have it on a pole IMHO.I had to position the pole carefully to minimise the cable run , with the cables having 1m extensions only so 6m in total
