It has worked great on anything I've wanted to copy. I've copied DVD movies and have copied videos off the internet I bought a rental DVD and it let me burn that also, as soon as I inserted the DVD a window opened that let me install the proper software for that encryption.I plan on updating my desktop with a Blu-Ray player/ burner so I don't know how it will work on A Blu-Ray yet. The only thing I found a little annoying was you have to turn off the Video Downloader manually or it will start copying anything you're watching if it's not shut off,but that's really no big deal. Otherwise I'm extremely satisfied. I would have given it 5 stars except I don't know how it will work on a Blu-Ray yet and that small problem with the Video Downloader. UPDATE: I've had issues playing some copies on my newer Blu-Ray player, yet they play fine on my older Blu-ray and DVD player. I haven't burned a Blu-Ray yet. I will keep you updated when I burn one.

I was reluctant to purchase this software based on the ratings/reviews I have seen over the years. I finally got to the point that I am desperate to start putting some of my disc collections on hard drives to make them easier to access. I am using this software to make backup copies for my own personal use, as it is intended to be used. I was pleasantly surprised to find the software works about as great as I had hoped it would. In order to copy/convert copyrighted discs, you will need to agree to a legal notice and download additional files. The download is simple and automatically updates the software. I have used this software on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers without any issues so far. As with most software, there is a learning curve, so expect it to take a little while to learn how to use it. This software is just for copying/converting discs, it does not provide disc/file player capabilities. Personally I use PowerDVD by Cyberlink as my media player, but there are other options out there, some being free to use.I am only using this to rip discs to hard drives, not to make physical copies of discs, so my review is limited to that function. I have been using it to convert music CD's, audio book CD's, DVD's and Blu-ray discs. I have only had a problem with a few music CD's that have had their own player software embedded on the discs. There is a pop-up progress window that appears once you start to rip, ignore the "Time Remaning" estimate, it's never accurate. Indicating hours of time remaining and only taking minutes to finish. The number of individual tracks affects the length of time to rip as well. For example, one of the slowest music CD's that I have ripped was a music soundtrack with 30 individual tracks but all of the tracks were 2 minutes or less, it took about 40 minutes to rip as a 32 bit wav file. While a standard music CD with about 10 tracks will take less than 10 minutes. Music CD's are ripped as individual tracks and with the names of the songs. DVD's take a little longer and Blu-rays as well. For DVD's and Blu-ray movies and TV series, I am ripping only the movie/tv episodes and not the full disc with menus. This is considerably faster and uses much less space on my hard drives.I can't comment on customer support as I haven't had a need to contact them.For my specific needs, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this software to others.*** Update ... I have encountered some MKV discs which has required an additional paid plugin. Annoying and a little disappointing, but it does not change my review. I am still enjoying the software and still learning more about using it.

I purchased this to make backup copies of my Dvds and BlueRay discs. It required me to download an additional program to even access the BlueRay discs. Now even that addon won't work. I strongly advise against purchasing any software from this company.

I finally got this product to work after nearly a full day of trial and error. I would not recommend this for anyone that is the least bit challenged for technical savvy. The product will not work on its own out of the box for copying DVD's. You will be prompted to get a second-party cheat for 123 Copy DVD as the program won't make copies on its own. Now, after a full day of messing around, the program does work as promised. However, putting your own DVD's on your own hard drive is also a chore and the movies won't start up easily on their own in my experience. I had to download a second second-party program, VLC media player, in order to watch the movie on my hard drive. It is necessary to dig into the hard drive and find the movie and then right-click and then choose 'Add to VLC playlist', after which the movie will play just fine. It works quite well now, and works consistently without any failure that I've seen. I've purchased a portable external hard drive to carry movies with me while I travel. I would give this product a limited thumbs up and only a 3-star rating for insufficient product support and difficulty of use.

Product is so-so in terms of copying dvd's &bluray disc's. But the lack of of any real tech support is a real issue. The live chat feature of tech support is anything but live. Started a live chat session after a 20 minute wait with no response it became obvious there was no one online. Late that night I received a email stating they received my request for live chat. After a few disc copying failures and generating a error report. I received a email giving a few suggestions mostly standard stuff, reboot your computer, shut down any other disc copying software, confirm region code. After implementing the suggestions and still having problems contacted the support email requesting a follow-up assistance via phone. I received a email stating that they do not do live tech support. I have had this product before and used it reliably after a couple of tech support interactions. The package was new, no manual in the box. Bottom line buy this and if you have any issues you are on your own.
