Great wading boot to pair with waders
The Frogg Toggs Hellbender wading boots have been excellent. I ordered one size up to accommodate my wading pants with built-in neoprene booties, and the fit is perfect. Recommend wearing a thin wicking sock beneath your waders to prevent chafing. The lugged soles offer great grip, and the lacing system is quick and easy—these boots go on and off without hassle. I’ve used them for kayak fishing in Florida over the past year, and they’ve held up very well. My feet stay warm and dry, even in wet or cooler conditions. Surprisingly, even during Florida summers when I wear them with wading pants in rainy weather, I’ve had no issues with my feet getting too hot. I love these boots and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, comfortable wading footwear.

Great boot, great price.
Took these out for a test run last week and they performed very well. Heavy duty, comfortable and decently priced. I have extremely wide feet 4E so I bought a size higher than my actual shoe size to accommodate the neoprene booties and a sock. The most comfortable on the water I've been in years. No leaks, no rocks in the boots. Very satisfied.

Good enough
Solid for the price, they fit well, are comfortable, light, durable, but the traction is good out of the water, good on sandy/gravel river beds, but not great on bigger rocks with algae

Good value for the price!
No frills boot that provides adequate stability and protection in the water. Bought a size up to accommodate thicker socks/layers in the winter. They’re a bit on the bulky side but not so much that they are uncomfortable to walk in. Can’t comment on the long-term durability but believe they’ll last me a couple of seasons with proper care. My only minor complaint would be that they drain water slowly so they’re heavy for a minute or so after getting out of the water.

Great fit, good price, very lightweight, and performed well in the river.
I bought these wading boots for a trout fishing trip in North Carolina. They fit great and worked great with my warders. We were in a rather swift, sometimes hip deep river. The felt bottom really helped grip the slippery rocks. They made me feel much more secure with my foot placement. NOTE to self and warning to you. The felt sole DOES NOT grip well on steep leaf covered banks. Ask me how I know? Yes, I busted my tail hard and twice, trying to get down to the river. But once I was on the rocks or in the river I was fine. The size runs pretty true so order your regular boot size and you should have plenty of room for your neoprene wader stocking. The boots drain water good and they dried out overnight. These are great boots for a good price. Overall I do recommend these boots.

Solid wading boots
Great Boots for the Kenai River. I visit Alaska to fish for Red Salmon and these wading boots were a safe and comfortable solution to accessing waters with rocky as well as sandy surfaces. I definitely recommend these boots for those who want a superior wading boot to be used with sock waders.

Rock solid 💥UPDATE 💥
Excellent much better then the cleats I have. Comfortable no SLIPPAGE, fish a lot in rivers. Compared to the cleats these are so much better. Didn't slip once.they don't gather silt and mud as well as on the inside. The sole looks solid will see how it holds up. They are very comfortable went with my shoe size and the fit is fine. Could've went up in size but there fine. Price is fair so if they last 2 season or more money well spent. If I remember...if.. I'll update my review late fall. Very pleased and again there better than the cleats. I was confident in the water with each step an not slipping. I would recommend them.from May to October they held up fabulously. Put a lot of miles and hours of wear on them. Only issues laces wore out and they take forever to dry. I'll stand by my review I like em' 👍 💥UPDATE 💥 JUNE 22ND 2025 Still look like new Lotta wear Lotta use. I would definitely buy another pair when they get around to wearing out.

I took one size over my size I used to go wading with my sandals and I expected more grip with these but I kept slipping on the flat rocks in my area.
