Get a proper crimper.
I needed a 9 pin connector to fit the aftermarket clocks I'm putting on a motorcycle project.The pins are a little wobbly. And I haven't put the bike together so I don't know how effective my electrical skills are. But I'm optimistic. I would say get a proper crimper. My first effort wasn't impressive. The crimper makes all the difference.
