Beware of Pretty Wet Strangers at Your Door!!
Lorenza Izzo escaped the Green Inferno and becomes the sexual psycho Genesis! I do not understand all of the negative 1 star reviews for this one. Keanu Reeves plays Evan a well to do architect married to a beautiful woman with 2 wonderful kids. He has to spend the Fathers Day weekend home alone while his family goes to the beach. He and his dog Monkey are all by themselves. He is listening to some vinyl and getting ready to smoke a little herb when knock knock someone is at the door. It is pouring down rain and 2 pretty wet women appear and claim to be lost, looking for a party. He is a nice guy and lets them into his house. Gives them robes to wear, puts their clothes in the drier, and makes them some tea. He calls them an uber ride and they make him very nervous as they begin to come on to him.He takes their dry clothes to the bathroom for them and tell them the car is there to take them away. This is when his life is turned upside down. I will not spoil it for you but this turns into a nightmare into hell for poor Evan. This movie is sexy, erotic, psychotic, edge of your seat thriller all rolled into one great film by Eli Roth! I just reviewed Green Inferno by Roth and now this. These would make a great double feature. Lorenza Izzo is married to Eli Roth and stars in both films. He is taking a page out of Rob Zombies playbook and casting his wife in his films. But she is a great actress and shines in both of these movies.Keanu is outstanding as the poor victim in this psychotic game played by these two alluring women. The women totally play the part of the sex crazed psychos. The dvd also has a great making of segment with interviews of the cast and director. I thought it was a great film and totally enjoyed it!

like the director of this movie
categorizing this one as horror is not fair tho. It's absolutely a satire, on the mainstream white-class culture. It seems to me that many times Jewish people, like the director of this movie, have very good insight on the stupidity of general American man -- they look strong and tough in physique, yet act like a moron under extreme cases cuz they're not apt to quickly adapt to situations and take good advantage of it. There exists multiple times that the protagonist could get off. The first time he fought off the ties on bed he could have controlled the blonde girl first before furtherly tackle the other one. The second time they untied him he could have ran out earlier or ambush the girls while they were roaming in the house. Instead, all of men's weakness are exposed by the protagonist (No doubt Keanu did a great job acting this out): mental weakness, poor word choices and again inaptitude to fast-adapt the situation and make smart choices. There's nothing scary at all, it's just a grown moron man outplayed by two teenager girls, obviously the director has great doubt on American men's average IQ level since "none of the men survived", quoted in one of the scenes. And w/o too much surprise, it ended up as a game and leaving the man get totally ashamed of. Again, if the audience doesn't understand the irony behind, the whole movie goes awfully weird; but if he does realize how poor the IQ level of a man, who is for sure recognized as mainstream successful in this country, could ever be like this, he'll get himself amused all around and pull a big thumb-up for the director.P.S. same comment goes for cabin fever

Are men threatened by this movie??.....not as bad as many say...
I think the reason this film is being trashed by so many reviewers is because this scenario could & probably has happened to men, first off I will say I am not a fan of Eli Roth in any way, his "Hostel" films I refuse to watch, I don't mind gore if it serves the story, but those films are just gory for the sake of being gory, at first I had reservations about watching this one, but having seen Ana De Armas in the recent "Blade Runner 2049" & being a fan of Keanu Reeves I figured it was time to give this one a look seeing that she is in it & it being a $5.00 add-on-item, I figured why not, because of the reviews I expected to hate this film but was pleasently surprised at how effective its suspense was, suspense thrillers are rare in films these days....now on too the review....Like many suspense thrillers before it, this is a cautionary tale about a married guy who's wife is gone away for the weekend, it doesn't help that early on she postpones a sex morning with him, so he is sexually fustrated to begin with, but focuses on his work as an architect but then he hears a knock at the door & discovers two women in the rain who are looking for shelter, being a good guy who thinks he is doing a good deed he lets them in & agrees to call them a cab, but while waiting they begin to seduce him, watching him resist the temptation is fun because we know as viewers he is going to cave & cave in he does as he finds them naked in his bathroom & they go down on him & then temptation takes over & a threesome results, it should be noted that the two women are seen naked for less than a minute, not a lot as one reviewer said (were they watching to same movie??) the next morning Reeves wakes up to find the girls in his kitchen making a mess of epic proportions & it is clear they don't want to leave, when he threatens to call the police they say they are underage, eventually he takes them home only to find them back in his home & meaner than ever as they play torturous psychological warfare on him & we are given this morality tale that says that all men no matter how much they love their wife & children, they can never resist temptation when seduced, which appears to be true for the most part & this film like "Fatal Attraction" (1987) & "Derailed" (2005) before it drives that point home, which is why I think so many are trashing it.....they see themselves in this movie & knows its true.....simply put this is a cautionary tale of morality & why you should never let strangers in your home, I myself actually had 3 girls knock on my door claiming to be part of a church group who wanted to talk to me about Jesus while this movie was in theatres, no way did I let them in, they probably were part of a church group soliciting believers & new members, but I wasn't about to find out......especially knowing about this movie in 2015....however, I think the alternate ending should have stayed simply because they slip up while targeting their next victim....won't spoil it here.I put this one right up there with films like..."The Hitcher" (1986, 2007).....never pick up strangersDisturbia (2007).....never spy on your neighbors"JoyRide" (2001).....never play pranks on truck drivers"Single White Female" (1992).....make your rent affordable."Knock Knock" may have some suspension of belief moments, but it is a unique thriller that probably has happened.
