I love that there are two options: crushing and slicing. I wish I could toss it in the dishwasher (aluminum does not belong in the dishwasher), but it does clean easily. I buy garlic in bulk, spend a few minutes to pull apart the bulbs and remove the skins, then toss in a zip top bag in the freezer. It only takes a few minutes to thaw and this tool works perfectly. Fresh garlic perfectly prepared whenever I want it.

The mincer portion of this press is the part I use most often, however I find that it leaves a decent amount behind, almost an entire cloves worth. The slicer part works well but I rarely use it since the slice is pretty coarse. I find cleaning a bit of a chore but the included brush makes things easier. However I can see myself losing that brush in the future since its so small. All in all, I would recommend purchasing a higher quality garlic press if you're going to be using it a lot. Otherwise this does a fine enough job for the price.

The slicer is great, no more trying to hang on to slippery cloves when slicing, and nice even slices. The crusher needs work. It has a flat pusher, for lack of a better word. It leaves a lot of the clove stuck inside uncrushed, especially around the edges. It has to be cleaned out between each clove. The cleaner works great, I just wish I didn't have to use it so often. I'll definitely keep it for the slicing. The tube peeler surprised me. I never thought those things could work, but they do, amazingly well.

First, I have to say that I am confused by some of the reviews I have read about cleaning this garlic press/slicer. The little black plastic tool that is attached to the press' handle is brilliantly designed to assist you in cleaning the press, but also making sure you don't scratch it to bits using a metal knife or other unnecessary tools. If you look closely at the design of the cleaning tool, it should make sense to you that it is designed to clean the "fins" and holes quite efficiently. Now, in day-to-day use, and I mean that verbatim, I love this garlic press Sometimes I need crushed garlic and sometimes I like to use sliced garlic. This press brings the best of both worlds together and is very convenient. I will say that I am not a huge fan of the peeling sleeve, but I am also rather adept at peeling garlic manually as well. Overall, I would say that you will not be disappointed with your purchase and you will be happy with the versatility and ease of use associated with this item. P.S. in regard to extraction of the pressed or sliced garlic, the little black tool is also designed to help you with this bit.

Use this mostly for slicing and crushing fresh garlic (after peeling the garlic). It works very well for these tasks. It's a bit hard to clean, mostly because fresh garlic tends to be juicy and sticky. It's so much faster than slicing or crushing by hand - so it's always kept handy and gets used a lot. It fits together well - the two halves mate well so there's very little fiddling needed when you use it. Nice!

When I first got this garlic press, I was so excited. The 2-in-1 mincer and slicer combo seemed super convenient, and I loved the idea of not having to touch garlic directly. The garlic peeler tube worked well, and the whole tool felt sturdy in my hand. But unfortunately, it all went downhill fast. After just a few uses, the slicer side jammed constantly, and the garlic would get stuck in the tiny slots. Even the cleaning tool didn’t help much—it was super tedious to get every bit out. The mincer wasn’t much better. You really have to use a lot of force to press the garlic through, which defeats the point of it being “ergonomic.” I ended up with garlic half-crushed, half-smeared all over the tool. To make it worse, the aluminum started showing discoloration after a couple of hand washes (I never put it in the dishwasher). I expected more from something that came with a “lifetime guarantee.” It’s a cool concept, but it just doesn’t perform well. I’m back to using a knife.

So good, i liked it. But why the seller increased the price from 37 to 107?!!!

I gave it a 3 because the mince works as expected. The slide works as well BUT the material used is very weak. Within a month of using it one of the pieces broke off the slicer which forces the garlic down.
