I just installed it using the helpful video above so can't comment on durability, but so far seems to be fully functional. At any rate it is better than risking the pictured screen shatter which my unprotected $300 ipod incurred after a drop of just 2 feet. Do they use waterford crystal for their screens? I mean Gorilla Glass came out what, 30 years ago? C'mon Apple, I hear you're trying to kill products that let us own rather than perpetually rent our music from People's Republic of Apple, but.... really now.

The first time I ordered this cover it had already been opened and damaged. I believe it may have been returned before and restocked by someone who did not know it was damaged. I was sent a replacement that was in perfect condition. Once I took it out of the package I understood how the first one I was sent had been damaged. WARNING: THIS COVER IS VERY DIFFICULT TO OPEN. The fact that it is clear adds to that difficulty. DO NOT try to open it by pulling on the screen protector by way of any holes. This will just tear the screen protector. Other than that it is good product.

My iPod cannot be more protected from the potential of a broken screen. Sadly this protection comes at a hefty price: screen functionality and the power button. The front cover of the case has a clear sheet that works as a screen protector but there is no adhesive in between the glass and the plastic cover. This caused me to double tap A LOT and then the screen powers off because the interior part of the case is too long that it reaches the power button with minimal force.BUT HEY! My iPod is safe and protected from breakage.

It was so hard to get the two pieces apart I actually had to use my teeth. I ended up getting it on but one of the corners didn’t quite fit right. If you can get this apart and get it to fit right it does look very protective though. Good luck!

Unfortunately I didn’t take the picture prior to putting it on my iPod and I am using the iPod to write this review lol. If you can take my word for it, it’s perfect.Be patient taking it apart and fitting your iPod in it. But once it’s in, it’s perfect. Total coverage and they thought of everything! The screen cover works well and no need to buy a separate one. I’m so pleased. I really wanted the pink case but they were sold out.

It does protect the iPod. Note, the screen protector is a separate piece that you need to apply to your screen. So there are actually 3 pieces to this: front, back and screen protector.

the glass or screen protector was not good at all, already scratched up before we even put them on our ipods.
