Beautiful and great quality
I love this umbrella! I live where there is high winds and my old patio pop up shade cover has been blown all over my yard and now with this last rain storm it’s all bent up lol. I needed shade to cover our cowboy pool and it has to be able to withstand some wind. This umbrella has been perfect! It was nicely packaged and I love the color. We filled the base with sand as the instructions say and we filled rest with water and the stability is strong. It’s easy to open and close. The size is great. It tilts if you like and goes with the wind which helps when you have winds. We haven’t had to close it so far it’s doing incredibly well with our daily winds. During a hurricane we will full close and secure it. You will see in the picture I attached we also purchased a screen net to keep the lovely blood sucking mosquitoes away and it works perfectly with this umbrella! Ignore the pump it’s all still work in progress ;)

Grand Patio umbrella is a keeper!
This umbrella is beautiful and is easy to work. Followed the directions for assembly, and that was more than a woman alone could handle, but with help , we got it together and I love it.

We like this umbrella, but it's not perfect!
We really like this umbrella. It is beautiful and appears to be durable. Time will tell about that. It was very easy to assemble. We looked at the video. Very easy to open and close and to adjust. I think it is safer to close the umbrella at night and secure it with the strap provided. We also close it if strong winds are predicted. It doesn't have bells and whistles but all we wanted was an umbrella that is easy to use and looks good and keeps the sun off our patio. We have to empty the water out of the base in winter, for sure, so instead of mixing sand and water in it we filled it completely with water. Then we purchased, from Amazon, cloth sandbags. They come as a two pack. The ones that are somewhat skinny and long lay across the front of this base and look just fine. They each hold 50 lbs of sand. The bags have two carrying straps on each. So easy to move when we put the umbrella away for the winter. Hopefully the cloth of the umbrella will withstand the sun and last for several years. Having wheels on the base appears to be useless. Too heavy to move it anyway. Be sure to place it where it will stay before filling the base. As others have said, the fact that the umbrella swings slightly and dips with even a little breeze takes some getting used to. So far I can't figure out any way to tether it so this stops. Hopefully someone will come up with a solution.

Excellent umbrella
I assembled by myself. Took about an hour. Pretty easy setup. Would have been easier with a helper, but I got it done. Follow the instructions and do it in order and it's easy. Make sure to assemble where you are going to put it or at least move it to the desired location before adding the sand and water. Once the sand and water are in there it is not easy to move. Definitely a 2 man job. It does have wheels, but it is 300lbs of dead weight. I feel comfortable that it will not blow away. It is very sturdy and provides lots of shade. Easy to put up and down. Is a little more difficult for people shorter than 5'8" I would say. The crank is high.

Perfect!
I was put off a bit by the negative reviews, but after further investigation, I purchased the product. I will attempt to address some of the negative comments. 1. This is an 11' umbrella, think of it as a sail. Any wind will apply force to the stand. If you did not purchase the base, and fill it with 200+ lbs. of gravel/sand/water, it will tip over. Purchase the umbrella with the base! 2. Some people complained about the base leaking, I would suggest using just gravel/sand, not water. There are 2 openings to add gravel/sand/water. Use the cone shaped cover (it covers where the stand bolts into the base) as a funnel. Pour in the gravel/sand, stopping to distribute the gravel/sand inside the base with your hand. Add a 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand to each side, and then pick up the base on the wheel side allowing the gravel/sand to slide into the "nose" of the base. Add another 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand through each opening. Again stopping to distribute the sand inside the base with your hand. Vacuum the opening thoroughly as the caps will cross thread easily. 3. The video shows that the assembled umbrella can be rolled around easily: only if the base is empty. Give careful consideration to where you want the umbrella to be. It can be moved, but not easily, and I would only move it by the base. There is a grab area on "nose of the base, I only use that. 4. The umbrella will sway in the wind. This is not a parasol umbrella with a rigid shaft running all the way up. A cantilever umbrella needs to articulate in order to open, and be adjusted. If the wind is severe enough to be a problem, you wouldn't have a regular/parasol umbrella up either. The umbrella assembles easily, there were no broken, or missing parts. One of the nice things about this umbrella is that the base is narrow, and somewhat mobile. Most cantilever umbrella bases are 36" or more per side, and I have not seen any others that are mobile. The only minus is the caps on the base easily cross threading. I have no problem recommending this product.

Fade fast and not steady
Do not buy. Bought May 18 2024 and they faded horribly in less than 6 months. Can not have open if wind 10 mph or will blow over.

Nice addition to our deck
Easy to assemble (although it helps if you have two people). Love the option to fill the base with water instead of sand so you can easily drain and reposition it if needed. Really sturdy and heavy once filled. The umbrella does sway with even a minor breeze, but still seems sturdy. Overall a nice addition to our deck and much more affordable than cantilever umbrellas we saw in stores.

Love our terrace umbrella with a super study stand. We have owned for a year and it looks as new as the day we unpacked it and put it together. Easy to set up... just add weight to the base. Thank you!
