Works really well but takes time for items that you cannot put outside in the sun.
Works really well. I am using it to restore a bath tub in a mobile home that heavily yellowed over the years. I cannot put the tub outside so I have to treat it inside with Retro-brite and a UV light, which is not a super-fast process, but it is working well. For indoor use, I recommend that you get a 365nm black light with 50+ watts. I just apply the solution, cover it with plastic wrap (to keep it from drying) and hit it with the black light for a few days. Due to the size of the tub, I am doing it in small 2'x2' sections, but it is definitely improving the surface color substantially. There are a couple of spots on the tub that were not hit by the sun and never faded, and I am able to get the yellowed parts back to virtually the original light tan/putty color. Other than the restored color, the surface of the tub is not affected in any way by the product and there is no appreciable smell. Surprisingly effective but not a fast process and requires patience when using indoors.

Worked great on manufactured home tub!!
Purchased this to brighten out a yellowing manufactured home tub & shower enclosure. Our home was built in 2012 and sold in 2013. It became ours in 2015. We keep a shower curtain partially close over the shower/tub but that front corner gets extra UV exposure from a window and had started to turn yellowy dingy. Though hubs did not notice, it bothered me and I searched for a fix. I put on a "rubber glove" on one hand and dipped my hand in the retrobrite tub and smoothed a thin layer over the area I wanted to brighten. I then wrapped it in saran wrap and put a grow light that I had on hand on it for 7 hours. The results were impressive to me. Next week when my husband is at work I will do up the front of the shower enclosure and inside the front of the tub where it also has taken on the yellow dinginess. So for tub areas that are yellow because of a UV chemical reaction on a 'plastic' tub. This product is a winner. It met my expectations and was worth the price paid. My shower, though not finished, looks cleaner already. It just makes me happier to look at it. I then was making cheesecake one day and notice my grandma's older hand mixer that I used was yellowing from sun exposure from our last house. I figured ... why not? I put a layer of retrobrite on, wrapped it in saran-wrap, put it in a ziplock bag and set it outside for 2 hours. It started to rain so I brought it inside and sat it under a UV light for 3 more hours. The results were crazy amazing! I get almost giddy when I see these results. It makes me want to find yellowing plastic just so I can try it some more. No regrets at all. OH! and no fumes to speak of and I am usually very sensitive to fumes. No issues when I accidentally got some on my hands.

Works well, but be prepared!
Heat is the key factor here. You can use a dehydrator, boiling water, or a standard heat lamp in the event the sun or UV are not an option for you. You have to be very diligent in making sure the goop gets mixed into all parts of whatever it is you're trying to to restore. This takes time, and a lot of it. Be prepared to babysit your project for at least a few hours, mixing the product around every 15 - 20 minutes. Be sure to wash all of the goop off after you're finished. Letting it sit for even a few minutes can cause severe splotches and streaking. The biggest downside to this bottle is that there really isn't a lot of it in there, concidering how much of it you have to use to get a good result.

Patience and repeat treatment was key for my experience, but it came out nice!
I was skeptical, but one of the reviews showing before and after pictures convinced me to give this a try. I did use the direct sunlight method. I applied and used a UV light indoors for a minimum of 4 hours each time I treated an area. As one person said in their review, it can come out in globs but I noticed this when giving a light/small squeeze of the trigger, but it did "spray" with a quick and full pull of the trigger. The first application I sprayed on a paper towel and applied, but the initial results were disappointing. Subsequent applications were direct and using short pulls of the trigger to release the small globs of the product. I then "dabbed" the product with a paper towel all over the yellowed area. I covered the treated area with one layer plastic wrap and placed the UV light pretty close to the monitor and let it sit for at least 4 hours. I did have to do a couple of areas twice to get all the yellow out, but it looks much better than it did when I started. I also used it on the keyboard, but those photos did not show as much change but on one side. Not sure if it matters, but the plastic wrap I used was up&up brand, and the UV light I used is this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8FPX84C?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1_0&th=1. Photos were taken step-by-step to show the changes with each treatment and what the product looked like before applying the plastic wrap.

Wasted Two Days For Nothing
'Sure didn't work for me. Started out with such high hopes. 'Tried to remove yellowing on RV ceiling interior vent trim. Followed instructions, applied product, covered with clear plastic, sat out in sun.....Nothing....Repeated next day......Nothing. I mean absolutely nothing. Picked up some white plastic paint at hardware store. 2 coats. 5 minutes, looks like new.... I wasted $19.99 and two days on this stuff.

Somewhat worked
This product did work somewhat, but didn't fully restore the color of the plastic piece I was working with.

Easy to use, no mess, no scrubbing. Great results
This product is amazing. I used on a very yellowed Rival toaster from the 1970's. I didn't want to get rid of the toaster because it worked great but was embarrassing to use around company because of the discoloration. I used a foam brush to apply the retro brite, covered areas with Saran wrap and sat in the direct sunlight. The toaster is now perfectly white. It looks beautiful. I am so pleased with the results

Le processus a pris plus de temps que prévu. J’ai fait environ 5 séances de 6h, mais je suis très satisfait du résultat. Des puissantes lampes UV sont nécessaire si l’objet ne peut être mit au soleil.

Home Maintenance Project I had these terribly yellowed spa jets. Being the OCD individual I am, I sought solutions. Unfortunately I couldn’t get anyone to remove the jets and the manufacturer has disappeared into the abyss. So I’ve been searching for a solution other than ripping the bath out (which will happen eventually but not now). I found this product on I bought a UV LED light also on Amazon and grabbed a paint brush and some glad wrap. I should have rented a big UV LED light but I was worried it would damage the bath. I learnt that was a misconception. I would do that next time as it’s been a laborious job moving the little lamp around. It’s not a perfect finish for an OCD inclined personality but there is a significant improvement until I find where to rent the seriously Large UV LED light. So I’m feeling happier.
