You get what you pay for.
There is no real "surprise" per se. You get what you pay for and not a penny more. Everything in the box seemed strangely oversized for inshore saltwater fishing. You may be better off foregoing the "surprise" and just buying what you want specifically.

Great gift for Dad!
I had gotten my Dad a gift for his birthday but I wanted to add something a little more. These mystery boxes are awesome for that exact reason. There is all types of fishing boxes and sizes now. Buying them online is alot better in my opinion rather than buying them in store. A couple of boxes I had bought in store were missing some items. Don't expect anything amazing from these boxes and you will be pleasantly surprised. Mostly lures and soft plastics.
